Hi Sir, afaik detachable sya. Sports rail pa lang kc napapalagay ko wala pang budget para sa rack eh. Sabi nila ii-slide lang daw yung rack dun eh.

Sorry for asking, this is my first Avanza model.
Never seen an actual one in-depth except in pics.

Honestly, I dont think there is something special s hood ng avanza when it comes to closing/opening.

...besides, the way the rod was bent (from your pics) suggests that the rod was still in place when the hood was closed...

This is the most plausible conclusion.
However, it is ulitmately stupid to force it without recognizing the rod in place. Driver din un e. I trust he knew. Also, he assured that he removed the rod beofre closing which led me to the following:

IS IT POSSIBLE NA HINDI NYA NAI-LOCK UNG METAL ROD IN ITS PROPER PLACE ALLOWING IT TO MOVE FREELY WHILE DRIVING?

Another surprising thing is, T Alabang refuses to fix at first saying it was not covered by warranty. Then later on, they called asking the unit be returned and decided that they will order a new and replace the deformed hood.

Next point is:

DID THEY ADMIT THAT FAULT IS IN THE UNIT ITSELF OR WE WERE JUST LUCKY THAT TA WILL FIX A DAMAGE CAUSED BY US FOR FREE?

Just some thoughts...

New car owner here and I never thought n ganun pla policy.

Kompressor, 2-door. Naatrasan ni Suzuki one rainy morning in Dubai.
Hayun, yupi ang door. Ouch! Pamporma tlga auto nya.
Met the owner, admit its my fault and called the police.
Then, i let him claim my insurance for the damages.
In week bnew ung door nya.
Make me wonder how much it costs.
Didn't bother. lol.

Toyota is charging 12k to fix. May dent na daw na kailangang higupin, den repaint possibly. Too expensive.

One shop in Banawe offers 6k.
Still too expensive coz I'm not ready to spend again for a bnew unit which starts to have problems in a matter of hours away from the showroom.

Then surprisingly, TA called and say they will fix it.
Quite a relief. Today is the scheduled release of the fixed one.
Hopefully its as good as new as supposed to be.

No, I mentioned that only because it was possible na ganun ang naisip nung nagsasara, while he was trying to close it. Mabilisan lang ng naisip dahil may resistance.

It is possible, but I don't think that can cause it to bend the way it did.

Ang alam ko, kung under car loan, xerox lang talaga. Ibibigay nila ang original pag fully paid na. Pero kung cash, original lahat ng rehistro mo.
