Good luck and happy eb ka-avanzas.![]()
Ph). Ngayon nasa SERVERBEACH (Domains.Ph) na sya naka-webhost.
Just for my 2 cents worth...![]()
Sabi sa casa, every other day puwede.
tia.
To those going up to Baguio, the city is under heavy fog at this moment. Like on cloud nine.
I think thicker fog at avanza 84's place. He's at higher location I think (P. Burgos area). Cool! Hehehe.
double post

CASE OF MY BNEW AVANZA
mga tol tulong naman. I just got my bnew Avanza 1.5G MT last week and within hours from the showroom nagkaproblema agad:
As you can see nabali ung metal rod na pangtukod sa engine hood. My mom at uncle ko ang naglabas s casa, and after an hour or so, ng magpapa-gas n sila, napansin sila na naka-uwang ung left side ng engine hood. This left us wondering how did it happen. Paano nabaluktot at nabali ung metal rod samantalang isira lng nmn ng tiyuhin ko from the showroom ung engine cover during the final check prior to the unit's release.
Medyo nakakainit ng ulo to find out about this. Kasalukuyan pa akong nasa Dubai and will be home this April.
Sana mabigyan nyo ng thoughts paano nangyari to.
As of now, the unit is being fixed by toyota balintawak.
And he assured na inalis nya ung metal rod before closing the hood.
Which left me thinking kung nagsasabi sya ng totoo.
Sobrang lakas nmn nya ata.
And if ever naisara nya nga, for sure gagawa un ng ingay of a breaking metal which will get the attention of everyone in the showroom.
Moreover, I tried closing the engine hood of my Suzuki SX4 here in Dubai to re-enact the situation but napakahirap.
Guys, give some of your thoughts naman.
Medyo nakakabaliw 'tong sitwasyon ko which even at Toyota, hindi na-explain ung fault according to my mom.
Many thanks.
During sa showroom, marami ring na-recognize Mom ko about vehicles being returned to their custody. As long as it is Toyota, di ba dapat uniform ang quality and must not depend on distributors?Another Toyota Alabang horror story
As far as what is told me, they noticed na hindi pantay ung hood while on the gas station. And also please take note, hindi kya imposible to force na isara ung hood without noticing the metal rod in place?...malamang yan binuksan sa gasoline station.. tapos sinara nang hindi ayus.. tsk tsk tsk...
As is my case, it may take a considerable amount of force to bend and break the rod.
Also, consider where in the hood would most likely the force be exerted. Based on what is told me, sinara nya raw from the front. In this case, di kya mas greater ung force na i-e-exert nya compared when closing the hood from where the metal rod sticks up?
Look at the damage from the inside:
Forgive if this issue is just a simple case of stupidity which I consider it.
But please do indulge and give in your thoughts.
The last thing I can blame is the mass of wind pushing downward concentrating on the left area while driving at 40-60kph from Alabang to Munoz.
Good thing though, Toyota agreed to fix it after declining that the problem is not covered by warranty. At 4pm Manila time, the unit will be released from TBalintawak. they have agreed to replace the entire hood panel with a new one since it is already deformed and will be far from repair.
I'll post the new pics of the repaired model once I have them.
Nah, walang significant na pwersa ang ganyang hangin... besides, the way the rod was bent (from your pics) suggests that the rod was still in place when the hood was closed. Baka dating Mr. Philippines iyung uncle mo?
TORQUE is the key. That's for added TORQUE. Besides, no one (well, close to no one, I guess) closes the hood by pushing it on the sides, because the lock is in front. Pwede pang sabihing pinigilan nila sa sides, tapos from a significant height, binitawan para mag-lock pagbagsak niya.
