need your advice.

i finally got my avanza 1.5G M/T yesterday sa alabang. before receiving the unit, i was able to check the basic things that needs to be checked (as ennumerated by sir _Qwerty_). no dents, all electronics, lights, etc. were working. aircon was fine. inside was clean, engine was clean all freebies were complete. in short, i didn't notice any defect until i was able to drive the unit long distance.

1. I noticed that when i was accelerating from second gear going to third, there was a mid to high pitch humming sound (not too loud but certainly noticeable) that came from the tranmission. parang yun sound ng transmission ng jeep although mas mahina lang sya. pag dating sa recta wala nang humming sound. normal lang po ba ito? it's quite disturbing po considering i've driven other toyota cars like Revo and wala namang ganung sound. sabi ng agent ay normal lang daw to sa avanza, but i don't believe him.

IMO, dapata wala ang sound na iyan.

I thought na-check ko na po lahat ng dapat i-check, but when i arrived sa bahay. tinignan ko ulit ang unit and ayun, meron pa akong nakitang defect. yun plastic cover sa base ng windshield under the wiper (the plastic that serves as catchment for the water that flowed from the windshield) ay tanggal from the fender and pag tinry mo i-clip ay ayaw mag clip. in short, hindi sya lapat at polido. sabi ulit ng agent, prob daw talaga ng avanza yun. i don't belive him again. for the amount of more than 700k, magbebenta sila ng alam nila na may prob na ganun? that's a lame answer para sakin.

IMO, dapat puwedeng ipaayos iyan. If I am not mistaken, cowl ang tawag dyan.

Iyong sa akin, hindi sagad sa a-pillar pero wala naman problem.

And while i was trying to fix the plastic problem meron pa ulit ako nakitang prob (hay naku!). may spot ng kalawang sa division (sa singit to be exact) ng fender and the frame going to the roof. i tried cleaning it and it revealed na tuklap ang pintura sa tapat na yun and tinubuan ng kalawang. Ano p ba ang pwede gawin dito ng toyota?

Claim mo sa warranty.

All in all i was very disappointed with my avanza. for the amount of 700k + ang low quality ng avanza ko as compared to my previous car Getz 1.1. for only 400k + you get your money's worth.

pwede po ba ako mag demand ng change unit given the probs/issues i encountered?

I am not sure kung puwede, pero you can try.

kung hindi nila palitan ang unit, pwede po ba ako mag demand na lang ng refund?

bawal ang no-return no exchange

na-iinis kasi ako sa sales agent, parang ako pa ang may utang na loob dahil nagawan nya ng paraan (kuno) makakuha ng dark gray before mag price increase this march. at nakakaasar ang mga sagot nya sakin na talagang ganun daw ang avanza without even telling me na chechekin nila (kung hindi ko pa i-insist).

Sino ang sales agen mo? Dapat inaasikaso ka nya sa problems ng unit mo.

Practical Choice of Place!
Pwede nio ng lakarin lahat sa CBD from that place (Session Road, SM, Burnham Park/lake, Market, etc...)
Malapit na rin ang mga sakayan sa almost all scenic spots (Mines View, Botanical Garden, SM, Tam-awan Village, PMA, AIrport, Trinidad strawberry Farm, etc.....)

Perfect and the best ang hotel, inns, pensione houses, etc. for a vacation stay.

However if you want to sacrifice the amenities and conveniences of the hotels, maybe for cheaper price (di sure kasi meron din atang cheap hotels, inns, etc.), uso rin ang transient houses. These are spaces in the house which are temporarily rented out by owners to accommodate guests who may be tight on their budget.

Nung ni-release sa kin iyong unit, I have to wait about 3 hours although bayad na and me resibo na and narelease na susi, manual, etc.. Ganito rin ba sa iyo? It just happened that I am a patient guy. If sa iba, baka umangal na.

yun sa kalawang ba sir, dapat ba ako pumayag kung halimbawa irerepaint nila? pwede ba palitan na lang yun a-pillar (yun po ba yun frame papunta sa bubong?)

ay may problema pala ako.. yung sa mga pinto ko.. pag todo bukas.. may kalawang na.. ano ba pwede lagay don??

kung hindi puwedeng ma claim sa warranty, oil para hindi lumala.

better kung rust converter, sanded then painted over.

dati parang maganit mga doors ko (tumutunog pa), wd40 ang ginamit ko sa mga hinges. now ok pa rin, mga 2 or 3 months ago ako nag spray.

parang me nabasa ko before na malaman mo manufacturing date ng oto mo sa tag ng seatbelt...not really sure...pero tingnan ko nga mamaya sa parking

matagal din ako naghintay sir pero mga 1 hour. to think na sya ang pumilit sakin na pick-upin na yun unit. at before ako pumunta ay nag text na ako sa agent ng oras ng dating ko. na-late pa nga ako ng dating pero naghintay pa rin ako almost 1 hour. sabi nya 15 mins lang daw ang release. nakakaasar talaga, pera lang ang habol nila. wala man lang kapalit na magandang serbisyo.

Speaking of getz 1.1 mt, I considered it before buying avanza j. I am pretty sure I made the right choice considering especially the size, engine, and name of manufacturer. Correct me if I am wrong.
