my batt is outlast NS 40. I had it as replacement last March 2008 from the casa (stock batt defective) free of charge... so far ok pa rin naman batt one click pa rin although there was a time sometime last February that I noticed the indicator light turned red.

I did some research and one advice I came across is to drive the car ng malayo layo to allow full charging....hmmmmm followed it and so far laging green ulit ung indicator light!

Mine is 10-11 km/L city driving. Pero di masyado and traffic dito sa Marikina.

Lagi ko naman syang nagagamit araw-araw (3-4 hours papasok at uwian). Napastart ko rin sya one day before nun namatay yung battery. Pinacheck ko sa Motolite na technician, mababa na daw yung boltahe.

Ate Jane, natrade-in ko yung stock battery sa motolite less P143.

Me lakad kc kami nun time na yun kaya yung motolite hotline ang natawagan ko.

Saka pano ko sya madadala sa casa kung di magstart? Pde ba yung battery lang ang dalhin sa kanila? O me pupunta syo na technician?

^ you need to jump start your car to another car which has a good battery. then punta ka agad sa casa to replace your battery.

Every last Friday or Saturday of the month. Next will be on April 25. Venue will b eannounced later. Sa bandang south na naman ngayon.

Kuya Dindo, go all the way to the last exit of NLEX, tapos lagpasan mo iyung right turn na papunta sa Dau, then take the SCTEx right turn from NLEX, diretso ka lang, do not turn towards McArthur. Tuloy-tuloy na iyun hanggang mag-exit ka sa Dinalupihan (SCTEX).

Maam Jane nag corrode ba yung battery mo dati tapos tinuluan chasis at kinalawang. Ganon kasi nakita ko sa vanzy ko last thursday before kami umalis papuntang pagsanjan. Malapit na 1 yr vanzy ko sana maihabol sa warranty.
Ipapapasok ko bukas kay Irene sa casa.

Ako din, kapapalit ko lang ng Motolite GOLD (NS-40) nung April 4, 2009. Naiwanan kasi nung anak ko na naka-on yung ilaw ng Roof Console ko during the day, di ko napansin... yun na-drain ang battery ko. Buti na lang nasa haus lang ako kaya tawag ako kaagad sa Free Delivery ng Motolite. After 15-minutes, andyan na kaagad sa gate ko at kumakatok na parang electrolux man... Hehehehe. na-swap ko pa yung old battery ko ng P144 petot kahit drain na....

Sakin August 2007 pa till now buhay pa never na nagloko at malakas pa redondo nya so I think tatagal pa. So sa August 2 yrs na battery ko..

Pareho pala tayo shadow ng anniversary ng Vanzy natin, August 2007 din sa akin - malakas pa din yung battery ko bago ko pinaltan last 2 weeks ago. kung hindi lang siguro napaglaruan ng kido ko yun, malamang naka-GS parin ako ngayon.

Pero Ok lang kaysa naman habang nasa outing ka naubusan ng charge ay napaglaruan ang battery ng anak ko, walang rerespondeng Free Delivery ng Motolite kung nasa liblib na lugar ka... Hehehehe

Hi All, I just had a terrible experience with my beloved Avanza. I had a slight collision while traveling at less than 40kph with about only 2 cars distance from the car ahead. The car in front made a sudden stop, and of course with the ABS i couldn't stop in time. Anyway, there was no damage to the car I collided with and not much with mine as well. The bumper was pushed a little inside causing it to dis-align which was only noticeable from the side (connecting to the fender). So obviously it doesn't look that bad. However, there was this metal support that was perpendicular to the radiator that was only a few inches from it. And this metal support was pushed right into the radiatator as some kind of a "self-destruct" mechanism that will render your avanza un-driveable even on a slight collision. In fact I think if I kick the bumper hard enough, I'd do just as much damage to my avanza.

This happened in Laguna so I had to have a wrecker transport my avanza all the way to manila for simple collision that should not have rendered my avanza un-driveable. This cost me 5k and the insurance will only cover for 1,500 for towing.

So if I were you, i'd have that metal support removed or relocated.

Can I sue toyota for that design flaw?

Calling Prez Mel, may I suggest issues like this should be officially collected by the group so we can have it raised in a separate forum with the manufacturers in the future in case we will be officially recognized as the Philippine Avanza User's Group, in due time - to help manufacturer's improve their next version.

Pano po ba alisin yung pag on sa pag bukas ng pinto? Gusto ko po kc sana ON-OFF lang eh. Or kahit yung parang sa original na switch, mag-on lang ang ilaw sa pagbukas ng pinto at kung nakaswitch na para sa door.

Kasi kung minsan matagal nakaopen door ko sayang sa battery. DI kc sya nag off pag open ang door.

sir, sana ni-try mo muna lagyan ng distilled water then i-jump start para ma-charge yung battery nyo. for me, babalik ulit yung charge nung battery once napa-andar nyo na yung avanza.

Yan din sana gagawin namin kaso wala kaming cable for that. Saka yung kakilala kong me sasakyan paalis na rin nun. Then kami naman eh me importanteng lakad din. Recognition kasi ng anak ko.

Kaya Motolite Hotline agad hinanap ko. Natakot din akong di magstart ng nasa ibang lugar na eh.

Buti ke Sir Islaw, 15 minutes lang... sa akin almost 1 hour bago dumating... huhuhu... muntik na tuloy akong malate sa pag akyat sa stage, cguro mga 5 minutes lang late na ko heheheh...
