Hi there. newbie here * tsikot.com. in fact this would be my first post. I've been a lurker in this interesting Avanza forum. Yes, this is very informative and helpful especially to newbies like me. From all the vanzy fuzz and testimonials i read with Avanza surpassing everyone's expectation, I am now decided to join the band wagon. I'll be back to Manila this Feb and on my priority is to buy Avanza the soonest. As to which between the 1.3J and 1.5G m/t variant is what confuses me . Obviously, Im biased to 1.3J being the more affordable one. But Im worried that with 1.3, engine might be compromised in the long run.

From TMPC website, the price gap is ~185K. It is very likely that if I buy the 1.3 variant, I would end up upgrading it with all the stuff included in 1.5G. Thus i would want to know whether the upgrades in 1.5 variant is worth this price gap. Again, handsdown, this car, 1.3 or 1.5, is the best in its class. I just want to make sure that I am making the wisest decision, hence I seek everyone's honest opinion/advice. For 1.3J owners, have you ever felt you should have bought the 1.5G instead?

Btw, the car will be used ~30KM daily with 2 passengers at the most, except on weekends which perhaps could be loaded with 5-6 passengers.

di bale pag napaluwas ka ng manila...pasabi ka lang organize tayo ng mini-eb...just post it cguro mga 2 weeks before para maka-adjust sa schedule.

wow ! at last i'm back after 5 days of no pldt line kasi pinutol ang cable wire going to our area...: kakainis ilan beses na tong na por kilo. kaya i was surprised when jaspi11 text and asked me if i'm coming to the eb. natuloy na pala wala akong idea. pero di rin naman ako makakapunta. kaya hanggang pictures na lang but kahit sa pictures sulit. ang galing nang mga shots! congrats to your successful eb! and congrats also to spongee! anak mong nakapasa so proud mama ka! i'l go for jaspi11 as vice.

i suppose anytime naman pwedeng magdonate in our web, so sali din ako pag medyo not too tight ang budget. madami kasing obligations this jan. renewal of business permit and amilyar payment ang mabigat. me notice pa agad car insurance kahit feb pa due. unahan pala yon.

pwede kahit kelan di naman nagmamadali..ganyan din sa bahay kailangan i-budget lahat by priority..see you next EB lagi kang hinahanap ni spongee.

oo nga..suggestion sana next time avanza family day eb..potluck para may kainan..tsaka para naman may kasama rin akong ibang babae...JEM's....attend ka ha...tsaka Msfran kung nasan ka man....anyway balak yata this summer..pwede natin gawing outing...

This is a very good proposal. PHP 500 lang each, Ten years na buhay ang site natin.

I agree that we should have new stickers to promote our web site.

yes yung sobra pwede nating gamitin sa pagpagawa ng new sticker and t-shirt printing...pero bibilin pa din ito ng members para pasok pa din sa pondo yung pera.

Hi marfin, yes, Toyota Rush is another nice model from Toyota (aka Daihatsu Terios or Toyota BeGo). My wife liked it so much in the photos. I guess we will get one for her when it's available. We asked about it sa casa pero wala pa silang idea kung kailan ang launch nito sa Philippines. We will just wait. It's a five seater compact SUV with a VVti engine similar to the Avanza 1.5G model. Similar sa latest Honda CRV ang kanyang shift knob location pati ang foot break (no more hand break lever between the front passenger seats). It's reportedly smaller than the RAV4. Toyota always seems to come up with very interesting compact vehicle models.

Hi Jaspi11. Again, congratulations for a very successful EB. Ang gaganda ng photos. Thanks a lot sa lahat ng nag-post ng pictures. They were really enjoyable to look at. Hopefully i can be able to join the future EB's. Like spongee suggested an outing with our families would be a good idea. Sana mapaaga ang availability ng T-shirts and stickers ng club natin (is it possible this month?). By the way, meron ba tayong members' contact list with our phone numbers and personal e-mail addresses? One more thing, how about the possibility of an sporting event EB? Let's say, badminton? It could be fun as well. By the way, congratulations for being the Avanza Club Pilipinas Vice President!

Good day, I just saw an Avanza G w/ dual airbags. Can anyone clarify this?
If that's the case, does it has ABS also? Then it will be a good buy?
