Yes sa makati lagi kong nakikitang sinisita ng MAPSA yung walang plaka pa so iwas na lang.

About bullbars: I read before that it may protect the car but it results to greater injury if you hit a pedestrian. Car bumpers absorbs impact but these metals will surely break human bone. Mas macho nga ang dating kawawa naman pag may nasagasaan tayo.

guys I was at Toyota Bicutan for the servicing of my innova and saw the avanza taxi model it costs 563,000 just a bit cheaper than the 1.3 J and less the 3rd row and only color is white. Its now being sold to non taxi owners because the LTRFB denied toyota from using the avanza as a taxi. Well its a good news that the avanza will be exclusive to private owners.

Yehey! Hindi na kami mapapara. This is really a good news. Avanza as taxi has been feature in Inquirer for the last 2 Wednesdays - Motoring issues. I hope that LTRFB will not give in later.

Just saw the other day 2 bnew plateless cars apprehended by MAPSA along buendia malapit na sa boundary sa pasay. lucky enough i was at the opposite lane at di na ako napansin dahil busy yung 2 mapsa sa sinita nila.

So paano na yung mga kino-convert daw nila to LPG sa assymbly plant ng toyota sa laguna intended for taxi. good news indeed. anyway, kahit pang taxi pa sya i am still satisfied with my avanza. i hope i could still improve the FC. Medyo mabigat kasi yung paa ko sa accelerator. I think it depends also sa style sa pagmmaneho.

Hmm. I heard that Enriquez Taxi group (R&E, EFE, MGE, EMP, ETC) are buying Avanza's by the Thousands to replace the old corollas.

This would mean more and cheaper parts for your avanzas.

Finally got my silver Avanza 1.3J from Toyota Ortigas last wednesday!
So far satisfied naman ako with the drive. I've already run 45Kms all city driving w/ moderate traffic and spent 5.6L of fuel, so my FC is approximately 8Km/liter. Pwede pa bang magimprove ito? BTW, the SA in Ortigas admitted that the 1.5 variant has better fuel consumption than a 1.3 model.


OT: pwede po bang magtravel sa NLEX kahit wala pang plate number, balak ko sanang magbyahe this weekend sa Zambales and tuloy break-in na din.

Mukhang marami na naka avanza. up to now wala pa rin ako plate. got mine 1st week of november pa. 3500km na ako and very happy about the ride. btw, are there any pix of the console box with the same color as our dash board?

Mas magiging fuel efficient talaga ang 1.5 compared to 1.3 kasi mas ok ang engine power : weight nung una. Same with cars. Yun nga lang, talagang mura ang 1.3.

Congrats sa bago mong Avanza. I think pwede pang mag-improve yan. Marami na ring naka 1.3 dito and the most as far as i remember is mga 10km/l.

Yun din ang inaala ko kaya di ko sya maibiyahe sa NLEX/SLEX. Baka masita at tuloy impound. I read sa other thread na me nanghuhuli daw sa SLEX but that was last year pa nung nagkahigpitan pa ang "NO PLATE, NO TRAVEL POLICY" ng PNP dahil sa ginagamit sa krimen. Kung nakapangalan naman sayo yung car so baka wala naman problema.

Same here wala pa rin plate # , anyway bago pa naman 21 Dec lang nakuha. Ang sabi ng SA ay inaantay pa raw ang certificate of stock report (csr) yung unit dahil CBU from indonesia at baka nga raw matatagalan pa dahil yung mga nakakuha sa kanila ng november ay wala pa rin daw plaka. di raw kasi mai-forward sa LTO for processing kung wala pang csr.

I'm also satisfied with my Avanza though di ko pa masyadp nagagamit (450km pa lang). Napansin nyo ba na maliit yung stock battery nya? Mukhang di tatagal.

Yung sa mga naka M/T napansin nyo rin ba na walang rubber cover (tama ba tawag dun) sa apakan ng accellerator pero meron naman sa brake at clutch.

Just had my 1K PMS. Dun sa receipt they charged me 4 liters of oil, but the avanza's oil capacity is only 3 liters with oil filter na according to the manual. Nung na notice ko discrepancy I insisted either they reimburse me or give me a liter of oil. Mukhang duon lang nalaman nung mga service advisors na 3 liters lang yung kailangan for the avanza.

Yung sa mga naka M/T napansin nyo rin ba na walang rubber cover (tama ba tawag dun) sa apakan ng accellerator pero meron naman sa brake at clutch.

Yes, ganyan talaga pero makapal naman unlike in my previous car na manipis at makitid pa. Madulas kapag wala and rubber. So I used my old metal accelerator, brake and clutch pads.

Ang masama pa hindi nila bibibigay pag may sobra unlike in Honda. Pag refill din sana yon. Minsan nakapuno ako ng 1 gallon, nagamit kong pang change oil sa old car.

For those who had their 1000 km check up, can you post what the casa did?

On my avanza, they did an engine flush and put in fuel injector cleaner. Is this standard or did TQA make additional money for unnecessary services? Was not able to complain as I was in the province and it was my driver who had the car serviced. I found out a week after.
