Kaya siguro ganito:

Do we need to warm up our Innova Diesel Turbo? and to cool down after long drive?

April 16th, 2024 12:32 PM #1456we had three gen 1 innovae.
no need to warm up nor cool down.
start and drive away, and stop and kill engine, just like a gas engine.
all we did was wait a few seconds for the dashboard lights to mostly die, before cranking.
and unless you arrive at your garage, fresh out of a long-ish race... no need to cool down, either.Last edited by dr. d; April 16th, 2024 at 12:39 PM.

Probably not as vital(but likely still helpful) as in the commercial vehicle where the engine is likely to work hard for most of its life and that the 1GD's turbo is water-cooled so it reduces the likelihood that the engine oil burns in the turbo when the engine is turned off after a trip. I'd probably do a cool-down if the car was driven spiritedly or with a heavy load especially if the vehicle is going to be turned off right after said heavy load(e.g a stopover for lunch). As for warmups driving it easy for the first few minutes (e.g getting out of a subdivision) probably accomplishes the role of idling the car to temp as we don't have snowy weather to contend with.

April 16th, 2024 05:11 PM #1459Indicated sa user's manual na di naman talaga kailangan unless towing heavy loads or continous uphill.
Indicated din and scenarios tuwing kelan kailangan ang turbo cooldown and how long to cooldown the engine.
