I see thanks! ako din kasi ang nag lilinis ng cabin filter ng Honda at Fort ko naka washable air filter parehas.
Wise investment yan kapag 1st replacement palang ng cabin filter nabili mo na. Hehe
It does not say sa manual pero kung dusty palagi yung dinadaanan pwede to replace it yearly. Pero during the 6th month pwede mo vacuum or pagpagin muna.
Ako sa totoo lang lang i don't wash oem toyota filter kasi yung filters niya medyo sensitive sa moisture unlike sa isuzu na medyo cloth type.
San ok magpa PMS outside of Casa? 40,000km na yung 2017 namin.
I also need a mechanic na expert sa 2006 Fortuner. I will be restoring it.
Good Day Guru's,
Di ko alam kung praning lang ako o normal lang yung "sloush" (pardon me for my spelling) sound ng diesel natin sa fuel tank pag na papahinto ka ng biglaan or dumadaan ka dahan-dahan sa lubak.
nag pa karga kasi ako ng diesel last week Monday yung automatic stop pag nag papa karga. malakas sya pag puno pero ngayun mga 3/4 pa ang natitira. may naririnig padin ako.
Most of the time I only use my 2016 Fortuner Diesel A/T in the city and only on few occasions I use it to go to province. Now since city driving is what I am used to, there were some occasions where going to the province ang cruising around 100kl/h, I forgot to turn off the engine only after 5 mins or so and instead turned it off immediately. Would this destroy my engine or turbo?
I would say that before I reach the destination and turn off the engine, I would slow down (but still running around 30-40kl/h) for about 20-15mins or so... would that be any consolation and consider the engine as having cooled off during that slow down?
I am a noob here...
Normal lang yan kahit sa ibang brand evident yan.
No, wala naman madamage if once or twice lang nangyari. But practice cooling it down nalang next time.
My rule of thumb goes:
-15-30 seconds if hindi ratrat
-30 seconds-1 minute if ratrat kaunti
-more than 1 minute kapag ratrat na talaga (high rpm run)
sabi sa manual (page 297):
idling time before engine stop (diesel engine other than 5L-E engine)
To prevent damage to the turbocharger, allow the engine to idle immediately after high-load driving.
i.e.
- Normal city driving or high-speed driving (at the highway speed limit or recommended speed) ==> Not necessary
- Steep hill driving, continuous driving (race track driving etc.), or towing a trailer or another vehicle (with towing hitch) ==> Approximately 1 minute

normal ba yun engine vibration sa cabin ng 2.4 fort? even when new? its a diesel but it was too much vibration in traffic. though I suspect the engine mounts on this 100,000+km old grabcar fort.
Kelangan ng cooldown period when u drive with turbo activated. Turbo activates as low as 1400 rpm. Its not really speed dependent.
Idle for a minute or 2, then patay mo na. Longer if u drive in a highway for a long time.
