That's normal for AT in city driving I think..but for my Wigo G MT it's 14 km/L in city driving. My everyday route except coding day is commonwealth-katipunan-eastwood back&fort..this car is very fuel efficient..I usually fill up gas when the fuel bar is blinking fast and usually costs around 1.2k pesos to get it back to full tank..and it last for about 10 days going to work and back home including weekend trips.

sa simula ng research ko I was checking out the second hand market Wigo E made look back to Brand New Cars, masyado pqrin nqmqn maaga para magkaroon ng second hand....
coming from an innova, of course i'm not ecstatic driving the wigo. i may fit comfortably in it, but that's just fit comfortably..
but squeezing myself in narrow roads, killer corners, and the ubiquitous walang-hiyang tricycles, and parking in small narrow slots, i appreciate its size greatly. verily, the wigo is made for city and eskinita driving.
my other car used to be an older lancer cvt that gives me 7 km/li. the wigo's 9.5 km/li is a welcome improvement. i hope mileage improves after break-in..
AT vs. MT? at the outset, i have decided to get the AT. my test drive with a MT caused my feet to bump into each other.. the AT, with one pedal less, got rid of that. there was a dive in fuel efficiency from MT to AT, but what the heck! my feet don't want to bump into each other!
btw, i have determined that the wigo's wipers have too much pressure from the springs.. the blades judder when the glass becomes too dry (o sige, too un-wet).
and the rear hatch "handle" (actually, the lack thereof), needs to be addressed.
and going up the ramp in my workplace.. i put off the compressor, so's the engine doesn't complain too much. kaya niya with aircon, but it is me that gets uncomfortable with its complaining vibrations..
so who enjoys my new wigo the most? the wife.. "now, i don't have to go mountain-climbing when i get in..".. her words, not mine.

I'm actually tempted to buy this car around first half of next year if all goes well. Kaso, with the proposed "implementation" of Euro IV emission standards, I'm wondering how this model will fare. Someone posted a pic of the Wigo's data plate (link provided somewhere in this thread if I remember correctly) showing its emission standard as 96/69/EC (Euro II). Do you think it can meet the IV standards while initially rated under Euro II? Or may modifications pa na kailangan pagdaanan?

Bro no need to worry about emissions standards. Isipin mo nalang, the moment na maghigpit sila diyan, they will have to phase out all 2-stroke tricycles and other old-school engines. The government would never do that because our country just isn't ready for it.

    I have a Wigo G MT.

Sa ngayon nasa 11000km na yung odometer reading. The farthest I've taken it is when I did Tanayburgring (Tanay, Caliraya, Pagsanjan, Calamba Laguna) back in July. That's roughly 200kms of continuous driving, mountain twisties and inclines. I used to take it to work everyday, 78kms in total back and forth, from Sta Rosa Laguna to Makati. Nag-average yung FC ko nun ng 16km/l, combined Makati traffic, highway, and yung usual traffic sa area namin. I stopped taking it to work kasi talo ako sa toll. Hehehe not because of gas, it's the toll fees na nakakaasar.

Obviously no problems sa inclines, or else I would've been traumatized to bring it back to Tanay, but I did. If familiar kayo dun sa Kaybiang Tunnel, okay din non, twisties din and inclines na mas mataas pa ata as compared to the ones in Tanay. Nadala ko na din si Stark dun.

Several members of our club (WigoPH) have taken their Wigos to Baguio and back. One member recently posted about it; 5 adults and 1 kid. MT din. No problems.

i (and other test drivers) find the wigo acceleration fast enough.
but i also find its climbing abilities, "un-exhilirating". but i'm coming from a diesel vehicle, so the comparison is probably unfair..
my former car, a cedia cvt, climbed inclines very well, but it also guzzles gas..
    ah well... nothing is free..

    RE: Emission standards

That's true. I share your sentiments. However, capable or not, I'd still like to follow the rules if at all possible. Just because everyone's doing it doesn't mean I should, right? Pero syempre, beggars can't be choosers. Kung walang sub 500k car na makakameet sa Euro IV standards, e wala. Kailangan pa rin ng sasakyan e. Hahahaha.. Still, I'd like to know if the Wigo can meet the IV standards if maintained properly even though it's rated under the II standard, or kailangan nya pa ng mod.
    ______

    Baguio with 5 adults? nice!

Anyway, actual usage by the day-to-day users are the best reviews. Thanks for sharing, worried pa naman ako kung kakayanin ng Wigo yung ganun. Kaya pala. :D

(no quotes. lagi may error. )

Since you're open to secondhand cars, why not a used Vios or City? Those are under 500k for 2011-2012 models. Much bigger car, more power, just as efficient.

Sir thank you, on my research on secondhand cars here in the forums, I was convinced that I should get the newest models at the lowest prices and I was also convinced that I can not get that from Vios and City as they command premium prices, but as per your suggestion I checked again 2010-2011 around 400K (are these good deals) as my budget for 2nd hand is only 400k max these could good options....

I am only willing to go over 400K if I get brand new entry level wigo 448K or mirage 473K

guys, im eyeing for this car, this would be my first car. after back reading the thread, i've decided and will go for this one.

does anyone tried Wigo going to Antipolo(to those using AT)?

to those who upgraded the sound system, what equipments did you add for added bass and what brand? having a two speakers would not suffice cause I like listening to music in high volume.

i am just thinking, maliit na bagay na dapat meron ang isang car pero wala sya, what more ung security features pa nya?

when you're serious in cutting costs... you're serious in cutting costs.
    every cent counts.
the dash probably costs the same, with or without these icons.
but installing their correspondings... that costs money.
we must remember... this car is a basic car.. intended to be cheap. trade-offs...

i remember reading about a 60s car.. they cut costs by dropping the sway bar out front. a 14 dollar cost to manufacturing. but a big deterrent to the buyers. that... and some other political considerations.. the car didn't last long in the market.
we can always vote with our wallets..
    heh heh.
