Hi sir! Congrats on your coming ride. Don't forget to post your comments here about your ride especially the FC. I still can't decide whether I take it or not, hehehe. By the way, which variant did you choose?

I have just bought a Wigo, version G AT, it is my 4th Toyota car. In general, Wigo is a nice car with regard to the price.

There are 2 things which I don’t like:

    1. It does not have a door warning light which illuminates when door(s) is not closed properly.

    2. The back door dampers can’t provide smooth closing of the door, when the back door is at a horizontal position it will fall freely, and smash onto the car body causing a loud noise and vibration.

    1. my wigo G's dome light, lights up and off when the door is opened and closed. perhaps you should play with the three switch positions..
    2. na-sanay lang siguro tayo sa ibang sasakyan..

    heh heh.

There are 2 things which I don’t like:

    1. It does not have a red indicator/icon in the instrument panel which lights when door(s) is not closed properly. My other 3 cars have this indicator.

    2. The back door dampers can’t provide smooth closing of the door, when the back door is at a horizontal position it will fall freely, and smash onto the car body causing a loud noise and vibration.

Compare with other vehicles such as INNOVA the back door closes slowly and needs a push to make it latched.

Checked with supplier, and note this is a feature of the vehicle.

Hi. I have been lurking here in the forums for a few months now. I am contemplating on getting a Wigo for christmas but a friend recently gave me some bad insights regarding his own Wigo. He even went as far as he regrets buying one (He has Wigo G M/T) because it lacks power(especially on inclines), and it isn't that fuel efficient. He used to have an old Nissan LEC.

Anyone who can give their own everyday experiences on this car? I doubt most reviews as most of them have only had limited time spent with the car.

my wife likes the wigo's rear hatch. the little woman (bless her) can close it by herself... this is so unlike our innova, which she can't reach up to close, and when she does manage to jump up and reach it, she has to put all her weight on the hatch, to coax it to close. and somewhere midway, she has to use both hands... so unlike our wigo..

Is this your first car? If yes, i suggest get a 4-cylinder car that has similar price range. Tnx

Thanks for the reply. No, my 3rd. I had an old Lancer itlog before and more recently, a Mazda 323.

However, I am getting a lot of good feedback from Eon users. I am just worried about the space. I just need a car for daily home-office travel; around 25kms back and forth.

If you already have a car, I suggest to just keep it instead of buying a Wigo. Sure, it might be more efficient than whatever you're driving now, but you'll still be shelling out 500k for a basic car.

It'll probably take decades to make up for the cost of the car as opposed to just keeping your old ride.

if you do the math, pretty much of the time, you'll find out that it's cheaper to hang on to your old car, than buy any new car.
the reasons that may justify buying a new car (to me) include:
    old car spends too much time in the fixit shop;
    owner needs more space; and
owner needs a more weather-resistant car.

    good luck.

So do u mean u don't have any car right now? Then dont settle with an entry level car, u might regret it. If the budget allows, go for a 4- cylinder car or maybe look also for ertiga, dagdag ka lng unti.

I think a Mirage GLS would be a better bet. It's actually a car that doesn't feel very low-rent. Perfect starter car.

Unless your budget strictly prohibits you, why not the Mirage over the Wigo?
