"People are people" so all statements, articles and videos quoted/cited are opinions. Up to you to chose who to believe but please educate yourself and drive these cars. Life is too short to get caught up in crap. Again tabloid vs real news paper. TMZ vs CNN.

Well Clarkson has always been an entertaining read/watch more than anything else. Dry, acerbic wit and all. :D

Not to mention his lust for more POWERRRRRRRRR! Clarkson picking the 86 (and in addition May picking the topless MP4-12C) leads me to believe that the Maya were right

I know he's funny as hell with his wit. But to say that his word is like a scientific fact. hmmm

    Make me think of fanboys.

Let us try a local source and let's see:
Toyota 86 vs. Hyundai Genesis Coupe | Motoring, Business Features, The Philippine Star | philstar.com
Track - 86 "It may sound like I’m giving the Genesis hell here, but that is only because we’re asking it to compete against the 86’s core competence."
Street - Gen "Because as soon as you leave the gates of Batangas Racing Circuit and start to drive on real roads, the Genesis with all its creature comforts and luxury, starts to claw back all its dignity, while the 86 feels more like the one full of apologies."
As I've stated, opinion. Not just of one person but of different individuals.
Name calling is not a good way of reasoning.

C Magazine review got this right in my book. The 86/brz are track machines, while the GC is a grand tourer. Apples and oranges. Even TopGear acknowledged this in their recent comparo of the two machines. The Camry V6, on the other hand, is a FWD executive car meant to be ridden at the back. Its not even a fruit. More like a pechay. Now, people may compare apples and oranges (being both fruits), but no one compares both of them to a pechay. JMTC

Is this the same with yours?

BRZ's front bumper is looking conservative beside the 86.

I was told by my local Toyota dealer that i can now make reservation, car will arrive by january. I cant decide what color to get. I narrowed it down to 2 colors. White or red. What do you think looks better? Most of my cars are white. (Evo 7-sold, now ek9 type R). Im kinda liking the red. But not sure. How red is it? Saw it at the manila auto salon. But never seen one on the streets. Is it like ferrari red? Never had a red car before. Also, I really like the trd body kit. Is it 200k more that standard price? Whats included in the kit? Front chin, side skirts and rear skirts? Includes the wing? I just want the duckbill spoiler.

V6 pa lang yan, imagine the V8 Ford Mustang, hahaha.

86 should probably have good FC, boxer 4 lang naman siya. RWD pa so not as heavy as the typical AWD Subaru

Hi, any feedback(s) on the manual transmission ? How is it ? soft and light like on a typical Civic or bit on a heavy like a Patrol Safari or a WRX STi ?
