The Suzuki Genuine Oil or SGO is SAE 5w30 and with an API rating of SG+. This was formulated by Total and it is just a premium mineral based oil. It is lighter than the common 20w50 variant thus making it circulate better and faster (especially in colder climates). I however have some doubts if it is recommended for hot temperatures.
Suzuki previously announced that it is just priced at around 200/liter.

That's what is really stated on Suzuki vehicle manuals but you have the option for an oil change for your Vitara. I just did with my Ertiga. Just ask for a quote from the service center. I was charged almost 1,800 for 4 liters of Suzuki Genuine Oil and filter. The labor is still free.

April 28th, 2018 07:15 AM #114thank you.
quote of suzuki macapagal:
mineral oil 1.1k
filter 450
others 450++
roughly in between 2k to 2.1k.
others in the suzuki vitara thread have had their 1k pms below 2k.
i just want to know if there is a big importance of changing the oil at that pms interval as somebody here in the thread was able to point out that it can be had on the next pms interval which is due at 5k in the odometer.

June 12th, 2018 02:30 PM #116I've worked at a casa before (not Suzuki though) and the system used sometimes does not follow the manual to increase the cost
I suggest you follow the manual. They can't void the warranty since you're just following the manufacturer's standards. It's the manufacturer that approves warranty not the casa... I know this kasi that was my job before [emoji6]

i would feel better if my first 1000 km oil were replaced.
yes, i have read about the new, advanced engine designs and manufacturing methods.
but i would feel better, if the oil were replaced.
i'd pay the man for my peace of mind.
right or wrong, it's how i feel i'm paying for.

This is the only engine oil na ginagamit ko sa unit ko.
3 years and counting I still have no issues with it kahit na there are times na nakakapag change oil na ako at 7,000 km interval maayos pa din
