Yun nga ang di ko maintindihan. Regularly PMS naman. Using whatever oil the kasa provides. Might use synthetic sa next check. Walang difference pag nag cone na K&N?

theveed,
Baket ang taas na ng exterior detailing nyo? When I had it detailed A year ago, you guys charged me 1300 lang including engine wash. I asked this morning and its 1900 na.
Don't bother with the aftermarket airfilter. The OEM set-up is designed to repel dust and water effectively. Perfect for off-road/flood work.
Just keep the engine in good tune, check your tires, remove all unecessary baggage/accessories.
Ano ba fuel economy mo dati? The Jimny's design is essentially a scaled-down Nissan Patrol. Don't expect Picanto-like fuel economy figures.

stock rims and tires pa ba? may changes ba sa engine performance since lumakas ang consumption?
BTW check this:

it's not a local site pero that page is for filipino jimny owners
Everything is stock. Ang kinabit ko pa lang was speakers, changed the HU, seps, fog lights, and Hyper Voltage Reg. No noticeable change in performance. Labo nga kse parang nag degrade nalang.
Then I really suggest checking your exhaust. Any cold air or turbulence in the exhaust close to your engine will absolutely kill your fuel economy.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
just my 2 cents...
did you change gasoline brand/type... I get lousy milage when I use 93octane...
Also, it happened with my vitara before... baka nakalock yun front tires, even if naka 2 wheel drive... you will get lousy milage if its lock... sometimes hindi alam ng owner... or sira lang talaga yun lock.
Lift the car and the 2 front wheel should spin freely... if not, its lockeddisengage it 1st

Baka naka-4x4 ka sa city-driving? Lakas sa gas nyan at prone sa sira.
definately 4x4 is disengaged. I know coz i usually turn it on pag umaakyat sa mga parking lots especially sa shang (trip ko lang kse dito ko lang nagagamit). I hear a click when it engages, and another pag nag disengage na.
If it has any sensors, (air intake sensors, etc.) you can have them checked too by the CASA (cpu diagnostic?). We had a similar case with our Nissan Sentra Exalta before (decreased power, increased fuel consumption) and it was caused by a dirty intake sensor (the Mass Airflow sensor) sending a miscalibrated reading to the ECU.
You disengage the lock if you reverse the car a few meters (not by gear alone)... it wont unlock by just placing the gear to 2wd from 4wd. Also, if its broken, even if you do the procedure it will not disengage
Also 4wd in hard road, like a parking ramp and im quite sure it has curves the more you stress the gears which can lead to broken locks.
Driving in 2wd but unknowingly its locked, the front differential is still spinning with the front tires... which lead to more gas consumption
again just my 2 cents, sorry if you know this already![]()
i hav a 2004 jimny matic that started exhibiting this problem after the 30k checkup. the engine while on idling would exhibit sudden vibrations for 1 or 2 sec. this is intermittent. i hav observed that the idling would go down to abt 750, then the engine would jerk and then the idling would rise to abt 1000 before going down again. suzuki has replaced the crankshaft position sensor but it is still like that. i don't want to leave my car again at the shop while they try to do a hit and miss with the problem. has anybody encountered this problem?
hmm.. baka naman simple prob lang yan..
nagpalit ka na ba ng spark plugs?
considering na 30,000 kms na yan.
yan din ung naging problema ko rin dati eh..
post ka pag meron pa rin.
try to have your throttle body cleaned first and have your Idle Speed Controller checked
