May diesel variant pa ba ng Jimny? Tinignan ko kasi sa website ng Suzuki Philippines, gas engine lang ang naka-indicate dun.

Hehe... sobrang timely tong post na ito. I saw a new Jimny at the gas station the other day and I just stood there and drooled. Akala mo nakakita ng Porsche ang tao. Must have looked really silly taking this pic:



Magkano bang brand new ngayon? Still just over 600k for the 4x4? Forget a supermini, this is the bomb!

Actually, I remember one feature in Autocar where they ran it against a Porsche Cayenne. Now, the Cayenne has active suspension, electronically controlled differentials and traction control, etcetera, and the Jimny was showing it up all around the course.

It was proof positive of one of the tenets of automotive peformance: Lighter is almost always better...

Nakita ko rin yung article na yun. Bottom line was that the Jimny's mechanical engagement was superior to the calculations of the Cayenne's electronics. That's when I first became fond of the Jimny.

660 yun and walang flares para less tax. Yung Jimny natin, 'Jimny Wide' ang tawag sa Japan dun. Dahil malaki engine and mas malapad, mas mahal na din ang tax. Pati sa overall length may limits kaya nakabaligtad ang kabit ng spare tire and halos walang rear bumper.

Turbo-intercooler siya pero may limit pa din sa horsepower (I can't remember the exact figure pero less than 100bhp).

Madaming 660 na engine ang Zuk kaya hindi ko alam kung related sa mga Super Carry engines.

well one thing about it is that am sure that the track is tailored fit for the jimny thats why perfect lahat ng runs.

by the way the Jimny cost is at 780k na yata. MAHAL NA! heheheheeh pang enthusiast na lang

Wow may kamahalan na pala ang brand new na Jimny at P780k.

Sana lang di nila tinangal yung 4WD stick shift. Pag push button na kasi baka not as reliable na when you're in the trail.
