You might need to have your front wheels checked for balancing

Naginstall din ako ng touchscreen Head unit. ang tanong ko, Madadamage kaya nito ang alternator ko at battery? DC connection lang. walang amplifier etc. Ilang kaya ating ng Alternator ng jimny 2017? thanks!

    Jimny = Gen2 Samurai

    very offroadable.

Not really a good choice if you have a family.

I would personally want one as a dedicated offroad toy.

jimny is cute!!! i planned getting one before... pero plan lang...

but if you have a family to bring along, this i dont recommend buying...

and as per pajerokid, it can be used as a dedicated offroad toy

sa experience ko naman.. i would agree with shockabsober... kung city driving as in city... especially kung may family ka this is not the vehicle for you... first reason is cramped up talaga, leg room is a killer and the backseats are very close to the front seats... talagang problema especially kung may matangkad sa pamilya niyo... 2nd is... unless may talagang offroad portion or sleet and snow sa lugar niyo you wont actually need 4wd... kung city driving and occasional drive to the outskirts of the city i guess a nice car will do... kung gusto mo cute na car try mo ang suzuki ALTO... but thats just me...

pero if your a serious 4WD enthusiast at nag hahanap ng dedicated offroad machine this is a very good choice... or yung Samurai... hehehe..

    cheers...:

Most of the time, we use the Jimny when it's only the two of us. People hauler tasks usually go the bigger car.

The Jimny makes a great second car. Around town, it can dart in and out of traffic and fit in the tightest parking slots. It also doesn't look like your run of the mill econobox hatchback and actually looks a bit butch from some angles.

You may not need the 4wd for driving in the city. But you will appreciate the increased ground clearance allowing you to drive over obstacles you would not dare if you were in an Alto. You will also not worry so much about ocassional floods.

Best of all, you don't get to see yourself at every street corner. In a week, I'd see a Jimny prolly once every other day or so only.

    Hi peeps,

I now need to change the tires on my Jimny. I would want to retain the stock tire size, and was thinking of these tire brands on my list:
    1. Pirelli Scorpion ATR
    2. Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S
    3. BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A (I'll have to go 215/75 nga lang)

Kita ko sa Tire Rack website na maganda feedback sa mga yan. Siyempre conscious lang ako sa budget hehe. Magkano kaya ang going rate on the market for those tires, so that at least I have a figure in mind when I canvass this weekend. Who has the best prices in town?

I'm also considering Goodyear (Fortera if I got H/T), or Dueler A/T's.

Of the lot, ano kaya ang pinaka-bang for the buck?

BFG T/A for me is the best.

If you want stock tires, I'm planning to sell my stock tires. Almost 2k palang mileage ng Jimny ko. PM if interested.

These are exactly the reason why I did get my Jimny. Actually it became my daily ride coz most of the time I'm driving alone.

Every time I'm driving my Jimny gumagaling ako mag drive.

I dont own an Alto but i have a friend who owns one... so far he has not encountered any obstacle in the "city" that the Alto did not go over ... its not that bad on occasional city floods a little bit higher than the ankles either... the ground clearance is quite high for a small car... not as high as the Jimny though but high enough for any city road obstacle ...its a pretty decent car for the common tao or shall we say the average citizen who can't afford any car more expensive than the Alto... but its not really that cheap either considering there are still a lot of people who really can't afford them.

i own an old nissan sentra 1.4 SE m/t... i really dont care if its old... i dont feel anyshame driving it... i bought it cheap too.. even cheaper than the Alto... i guess it all comes down to the persons subjective well being.

but i would agree with you about the jimny being better looking than the alto... but then again that idea is still subjective... some would say yes, some would say no... but for me i like the muscular yet cute look of the jimny... we use to own a Suzuki Carribean...(Suzuki Samurai) and my dad wanted to trade it in for a newer car and we tried the Jimny... that was when we experieced that it was not meant to be a family car... and so my dad got a Tamaraw FX...

Finally... i realized i am on a Suzuki Jimny thread so, sensya na po.. sorry if my advice wasn't pro jimny... but here babawi po...

Its a good 4x4 no kidding... that i know... its a suzuki so it must be good...handles very well especially on climbs and on rainy days no fear of slips when cornering(it was raining when we tested the jimny)... very good to use if your single or with GF/BF or as a 2nd car or pet car...

Look's like it's going to be your(not the family's) ride so I say go for it. Handling and ride comfort should be much better than the old Samurai due to the coil vs leaf springs setup. The front seats should give you enough room and as far as the back seat, I look at them as a bonus;can haul additonal people at least for short distances. Plus, there are tons of aftermaket off-road stuff for zuks. I want one too!
