As with RWD, FWD offers two main advantages just very different ones. The first is economy. It is cheaper to design and build a FWD car. There are fewer parts and the drive train is easier and cheaper to install as the car rolls down the assembly line. FWD also helps cut down the car’s weight by eliminating the separate transmission and axle assemblies used in a RWD car. This, in turn helps the car get better gas mileage. This is why FWD is most commonly found in economy type and lower cost cars.

The thing to know about FWD is that it’s relatively fragile. Half shafts and constant velocity (CV) joints are more susceptible to injury than a rugged lump of cast iron as in a RWD car’s solid

Bro di ko alam yung part no., 555 yung ipinapalit at 650 each na pang mitsubishi lancer daw or better still bring a sample.
that's what i say, when they ask me for the part number. "555".
over the years, the brand has performed adequately for me.

This is true for most front wheel drives really. One of the trade offs when you buy one. Any car brand normally experiences this.

i suddenly remembered a chinese bus of yesterdecade. it had fallen to its side, and the long driveshaft had clearly twisted from the torque...

we regularly hear of CV joint failures from high-mileage cars.
but there are not too many complaints about automotive banjos and rear axles failing. it is possible that they just do not complain too much.

Dalhin mo muna sa casa mo. Pa check mo, baka maluwag lang ang isang parte doon.

Upon checking sira nga ung stabilzer link. Price s casa is 1,000 , olympia at fronte is 850. Mahina pala pang ilalim ng suzuki. Contributory factor pa ung mga lubak na roads along the metro

Again, being a front wheel drive and perhaps many road hazards, mapapabilis ang sira nito. It's not really exclusively sa Ertiga.

May excuse kana mag upgrade po. Hihi

Sad to hear sira na talaga. Will try another casa to have mine checked para sure lang, and to see where my car has rusted. Nabaha ako sa Malabon nung isang araw eh.

    Hi Sirs,

Does anyone here already changed their Automatic Transaxle Fluid(ATF)?

Im just wondering if I can have this done outside casa, ever since kasi I'm just doing my pms sa suking Shell Station. But for my 40k pms, planning to have it serviced by Motech. And if it's okay to use another brand of ATF? Medyo pricey kasi ang ATF sa suzuki (around Php 1,200+ per liter).

And last question, regarding ATF pa rin, when is the right time to change? If I were to follow the manual, it says replace every 30k kms under severe driving conditions. But for normal usage, it says every 165k kms. My ertiga is just 1 year and 3 mos old and odo is around 38k++ kms.

Manual is recommending SUZUKI ATF AW-1, been trying to google any other brand with the same specs but can't find any.

It may be better to stick with the stock Suzuki ATF AW-1 just to be sure. Matagal naman ang drain intervals kung sakali.

You may want to check a replacement brake disc pads for the Ertiga:

Bendix DB1941 GCT Brake Pad Set | Automotive Superstore

I think this is readily available naman.
