please take note na very specific sa manual for Ertiga model 2015 that you use a product with a gear oil rating API GL 4

for 2016 and up double check mo na lang.

as for change interval naman, usually 40k to 50k km interval pwede pa yan

Hi, my 2014 Ertiga will be on its 4th year this coming August. Out of warranty, so have done my 2 oil changes out of Casa. I religiously follow specification of oil (fully synt) and sparkplugs based on our manual.

For the gear oil, as recommended 30k kilometers. I'm almost at my 29k kilometers so would i send it to casa for a flush?

30000km? how many years does it say in the owners manual? note the color of the oil when they replace it versus the new oil.

I keep forgetting that it took me only a little over 2 years to hit the 30000KM mark.

Sa owners manual, states naman talaga every 60,000 kms or 10 years whichever comes first papalitan transmission fluid.

But it failed to mention driving conditions which I also consider kasi kaya ko abutin yang ganyang mileage ng mabilis.

Since generic ang statement sa manual, up to you to follow it by the book or change earlier depending on usage.

One issue in this unit din kasi is that you will never know the condition of the tranny oil unless binaklas mo yung drain plug which requires a socket wrench pa and may matatapon talaga.

Refilling it is another problem altogether kasi you will need a pump to load it on the other side and wait for it to overflow a bit in order for you to determine na puno na.

In short, binaklas mo na rin lang at may natapon na... palitan mo na nang hindi masayang ang baklas.

my guess is its under the airfilter box. (5-6 10mm bolts) then remove the box and hose and it should be easily refillable. the overflow port should also be easily accessible by then.

Manual transmission? May filler hole yan usually nasa side ng transmission. May ibang design like sa kia carnival yung filler hole nya nasa speedometer sensor. Need to remove the sensor para malagyan ng oil. It also serves as the dipstick

    All:

Many thanks for answering my query. Planning to keep this car kasi for a long time, reason why i always read the manual for PMS and schedules. Though daily driven, mostly 10 kilometers everyday from home to work and back. Reason why 4 years na Ertiga ko, nasa 28,967 kilometers to be exact. Agan, maraming salamat.

If you're out of the warranty, it can be done in any gas station, refer to the manual for the spec.

    BTW:

My last PMS sa casa (East Ave.). (for 30K PMS, but odo is still way below)

    MATERIALS:
Engine Oil (Suzuki Genuine OIL) 4 Liters 280.00/Liter 1,120.00
    Oil filter free (Promo)
    Pen-oil 200.00
    Brake Cleaner 220.00
    Engine Flushing 0.00
    Shop Supplies 300.00

    TOTAL LABOR 1, 560.00
    TOTAL PARTS 26.00
    TOTAL MATERIALS 1,840.00
    TOTAL AMOUNT 3,426.00

My next one will be past the warranty period and it will be done outside, Motech or any gas station will suffice.

Wala akong alam na recall sa Ertiga, madalas masira yung stabilizer link at mitsubishi ang pinapalit ng mga nasa FB.

Regarding engine oil, obviously it is mineral oil judging by the price

Bro common yata to, at isa sa mga cons ng FWD cars:

    Front Wheel Drive
As with RWD, FWD offers two main advantages just very different ones. The first is economy. It is cheaper to design and build a FWD car. There are fewer parts and the drive train is easier and cheaper to install as the car rolls down the assembly line. FWD also helps cut down the car’s weight by eliminating the separate transmission and axle assemblies used in a RWD car. This, in turn helps the car get better gas mileage. This is why FWD is most commonly found in economy type and lower cost cars.

The thing to know about FWD is that it’s relatively fragile. Half shafts and constant velocity (CV) joints are more susceptible to injury than a rugged lump of cast iron as in a RWD car’s solid
