My SA from Suzuki Caloocan said the waiting time would be 1-2 months.

I am not sure if I was amazed but that was embarrassing. It’s like a barangay leaguer playing hoops with June Mar Fajardo.

Saw one on display at Suzuki SM Consolacion, Cebu. Front space is larger than I expected, rears are a bit tight but manageble. The car is larger than the outgoing model.

The new 1 is awesome. Perfect daily for those who won't haul people....But, the old JB's simplicity was its secret to longevity. It remains a great 1st car option. Expecting a lot of good used ones to be on the lots. Had a chance to refresh 1 over the weekend. Genuine parts are readily available & affordable. Amazed by the throwback bare basics![emoji106]

Anyone na nacontact ng sales agent nila?
I got news that the units are coming May and June na ang release but there's a catch.

Wala daw freebies at all, zero, nada, none. (LTO, TPL, tints, matting, etc.)
And para daw maensure yung slot mo for reservations, kelangan daw sa kanila ka mismo kumuha ng insurance for 40k. (I paid 30k for my Everest insurance which is a way bigger car than the Jimny)

Anyone na sinabihan din nito? I think this is just plain highway robbery. Makes me have second thoughts on pushing through with the Jimny

This is a better and bigger looking boxy car than the Jimny. Malay nyo ipasok ni HARI dito. In korea, it is cheaper than the Kona.

So kung ayaw nyo maisahan ng mga vultures, hope for this hihi

I agree and hopefully it comes with a Diesel. Hindi naman lahat naghahanap ng 4x4. May mga tao na gusto lang yung height at size ng Jimny. Mas good deal toh if lalabas yung diesel.

hinde yata alam nun iba nagpareserve what they're getting into with the new boxy Jimny. hinde sya refined sa city driving. just check all the Jimny review, mapa-Indian, mapa-German, mapa-British, consistent sila hindi ok sa paved road ang Jimny in the long run, kasi designed talaga sya to offroad.

pero alam mo na Pinoy mauna lang or may maipagyabang kagad sa FB i-disregard nila eto, so Suzuki will take advantage hihi

Ser Chief, kahit gas yan Hyundai Venue, value for money na yan kasi maliit naman yan same consumption lang as Ecosport.

Well, it's not for those looking for comfort. But, diva it's not, either. Easy to park, drive, maintain & own, it is. Simple mechanicals, nonCVT w/ tough rigid axle suspension front & rear. Perfect for lady drivers out there.
For young or youthful 1st time car owners & new drivers, this is a great candidate for a daily. It's rugged, fun, & basing on the 1 it replaced, pretty reliable. Better equipped to wade thru puddles than sedans, too. It's never gonna go fast. Being a 4seater, it won't need awkward alibis for discouraging it a go-to joyride or roadtrip car....That's added safety & PARENTAL peace of mind there.
And, 1 can personalize this quirky headturner to his/her preference....may it be cute, hip or mean. Mods aplenty!....And we haven't mentioned it being a real 4x4 yet.
But, yes, it's on the pricey side for the space & power offeres. I'd suggest allowing patience to extract the real value off this pretty, old school influenced Lil G/Lil D Jimny....whether thru discount offers or finding good pre-loved ones a coupla years down.[emoji4]

it's not a comfortable car like the altis or civic. it's a cult car, designed the old-school way, for old-school motoristas.
owners can brag it only to fellow-cultistas.
the ordinary motoristas like you and me, "will probably not understand".
    heh heh.

Kaya nga nakakagulat na nanalo as Urban car of the year ang Jimny, because there is really nothing urban in it other than the small dimensions.

And how can basically a square box on 4 wheels be at the top 3 finalist of World Car Design awards, I mean napakalayo ng itsura ng Jimny sa other finalist i-Pace and XC40.

Tama nga siguro yung sabi nila na there really is something with the new Jimny and its either you get it or you dont

That's alright, OB.[emoji4] Happiness may not always equate to brag-rights yearning & it varies from one to another. To hobos, this maybe their reachable dream. To the jaded & smug, it may be deemed tacky wannabe.
One can objectively judge the Jimny by its laurels. Another can magnify its voids & what it's not.
Personally? I love its size. I'm all for the euro & nippon consciousness of occupying less road footprint to help traffic. Our roads just aren't for american muscle nor elephants. I can identify with its throwback styling & old school engineering. An avid fan of those rare axles here. The simplicity means ownership ease. Rough ride? Either my back is still holding up or my threshold for pain & discomfort is still above average.
This I can put my moolah on to see less trouble & longer service than its Brit & Aryan moneypit inspirations.
The general bottom line? What floats your boat may sink others', OB....but, worry not......travajante here remains your loyal fan.[emoji120][emoji4]

I climbed into one of these (yung previous model) to kill time while one of our vehicles was being PMS'ed.

Right away I knew it would be a cramped & uncomfortable ride, even worse than my pickup.
Of course, if you want comfort, buy a sedan nga naman...

    ===
I'd have taken the bait though, if naabutan ko yung binenta nung parents ng friend ko na for 600k lang. It was less than a year old & used lang by senior citizens pang simba & mall paminsan-minsan. Halos 3000km pa lang on the odometer...

Kaya nila binenta kasi they found it uncomfortable.

My brother had a local Civic EG hatch for a whille...& briefly, a Beaver he tricked out. Hmmm, he seems to share your eye for cars, but isn't into them for cool, but fun. He's fit, but not gymfit nor Uniqlo wearing....so, I'm sure he's not you.[emoji6]
Anyway, going back...that short wheelbase Beaver needed a lot done to be bearable. Having driven those & the JB43 Jimny('98-'18), the latter has evolved to be way milder than those dinosaur sams & rodents. The new 1 can't be any worse. They'll never be CUV or sedan comfy, but they are ok tolerable. They're practical for singles, young & old. There's way more to the Jimny than just cool, OB sir. Wish they were just priced much lower.[emoji4]
