Try bridgestone, da best ang performance. Current stock ko to sa auto ko (205/55/R16), subok ko na din sa long drives like Mountain Province and Quezon Province.

What tire pressure do you use? We use both the Dunlop LM and Goodyear brands with no problems to our cars (province, heavy loads). Although there are better performing tyres then the LMs, pwede na for the price. Tyre pressure is 33psi at the least (although lately i've been going for 36psi cold).

Tyre quality is not on a brand-to-brand basis but also on a model-to-model basis. Each manufacturer has both good and bad models. I've had Michelins, Continental, Bridgestones and Dunlops that were crap too.

We currently use Michelin, Bridgestone, Dunlop and Federal. We're quite happy with all of them. Federal for me is a value for money tyre but it is not high performance. It's just a good everyday tyre.

Previously, I've used Pirelli, Yokohama, Continental, Toyo, Nitto and Falken. These are also good but I just felt they wore down too fast with the exception of Yokohama.

What would be the efffect in your vehicle if you replace your run-flat tyre to an ordinary tyre?

Better ride. RFTs have stiffer sidewalls. Of course, you now need a spare.

Price seems fair given it's an Ecsta line tyre already. Perhaps you can inquire from smaller shops to get a quote comparison. I was quoted P 5,500 for Dunlop LM703 215/50R17s a year ago.

I still see Kumho as a brand that's notched higher than Achilles and Neuton given that Kumho is already used extensively as an OEM spec tyre brand in several region. It is still cheaper when compared to the mainstream Bridgestone, Goodyear, Yokohoma, etc. I have no experience with those brands yet (Achilles, Neuton, et. al.) so I cannot vouch for them just yet and i doubt i'll be trying them anytime soon since i'm very particular about the tyres i use.

Positive vouch for Maxxis Victra 195/55R15

Bought more than a week ago. Very grippy even in wet roads. No floating feel even if speeding in wet roads.

We also use Maxxis Marauder for our Starex GRX. Almost same performance as the Michelin Agilis it replaced while costing a lot less.

Also have Dunlop LM 703 215/55/17 in my Camry. Tires are ok but noisy, have a humming sound 50kph upwards especially on asphalt roads.

I thought the noise was because the tires were new, but they already ran 10K kilometers and are still noisy.

The tires sound like the engines of an airplane taking off when your inside the plane. Anyone else experience this?

^ I use LM703s on my Corolla (215/50R17) and there is tyre noise but i'm not much bothered by it (25,000kms already at this point). Perhaps its noticeable on your Camry if you came from Bridgestone tyres before as i usually found the Bridgestone tyres to be generally quiet (at least with the the Turanza line we used before). I'm running anywhere from 35psi to 37psi. Switched to nitrogen too, mainly so i don't have to air up too often. My tyre pressure has hardly changed in over a month.

About to change my 4 tires for the lancer next week, ano ba maganda based on your experience/s lately?

Currently using Toyo DRBs 195/55/15, it lasts 4 years and still okay but i will not risk it anymore.

DKC quoted me 3650 each for the same tire, proxes also at 3650, federal evo595 at 3550. Also considering kuhmo ecsta and bridgestone ecopia.

I might go for the DRBs as i had good experience in those rubbers, but i would welcome some other suggestions, kindly share if you have.

On DRBs versus Proxes, go for the DRBs as they have a higher threadwear rating. We were also very happy with the DRBs (195/55R15) on our Vios before.
