Usually that’s a sign of not enough freon.

Have your AC system checked for leaks.

Thank you guys ... replaced O-rings (2 pcs) ... added compressor oil ... reloaded Freon ... 2500 bucks ... mechanic said many repair shops (and dealers) fail to check the oil in the aircon compressor thereby causing premature failure ... O-rings and compressor oil should be checked every 2-3 years according to him ...

Took a long drive this afternoon 34 C ... so far, it's good ... Will observe for a couple more days ...

So, he has no shop of his own. Perhaps after he retires abroad, he can put up a shop.

Good thing it was only the orings that needed replacement. No leaks found in the whole system?

Mine had a very small leak in the evaporator which made my wallet cry.

He intends to do home service repair ...

Yeah, he diagnosed the leaking O-ring issue of the aircon compressor ... he's actually quite experienced and good ... he already knew to check the compressor when he heard it running ...

Had him check another vehicle's compressor also ... as expected, the O-rings also needed replacement ... compressor needed oil ... he used good quality Freon from Singapore ... he doesn't like to re-use old Freon since they have contaminants already ...

Can now cool the cabin up to 14-16C ... have one of those 3-in-1 voltmeter with temperature gauge ...

Evaporator is ok ... was tested for 30 minutes ... and then took a long drive the next day ... 3 days and so far, it's good ...
