On a side note. I was going through the PEX UAAP threads earlier and may gash, talagang nagsilabasan ang Ateneo bashers and haters. Sabagay, five years ba naman silang nagtitimpi![]()
Hahaha! Sabi nga ni AVO dati, "it's our time." Hahaha! Someone else has better chances of landing the trophy this year.
Well, I'm not exactly a fan of ADMU, but 5 years straight is no joke. Hats off for those years when the outcome was hardly surprising. But now that the invincibility cloak is gone, gotta rebuild and wait for the next cloak to come its way.

Why am I not surprised on the way they voted.
:hysterical:![]()
Oh well, sayang meeting ako buong araw bukas, can't go to the arena.
Pundits will say the 5-peat of Ateneo surpasses the 7 straight of UE based on the fact that there are more teams now and competition is more intense. That 5peat is still a product of Norman Black more than anything else. Even with a not-so-high caliber lineup (pre-Greg Slaughter), his system still delivered. Ngayon, malas lang at bago yung coach tapos sinabayan pa ng departure of several key players while the other schools are in the peak of their player and program cycle as well.
Bilog talaga yung bola. You'll be up and you'll be down... Importante lang is you remain grounded wherever you areI grew up cheering for ADMU when it was the cellar dweller. I was in college when the team was exiting the so-called dark ages, made the final 4 (lost to UST), made the final 4 again (lost to FEU w a painful Mico Roldan buzzer beater), made the finals (lost to the Ritualo lead DLSU), and i graduated w a bang (won finals against (DLSU). Yung iba kasi, nasanay lang manood when Ateneo was dominating kaya di marunong mag cheer and support even when the team is down.
Im still believing for a 6th straight ring but the other teams are quite better equipped and theyre playing like clockwork. Putting Ateneo aside, id want to see Bobby Parks Jr. have a ring. Incredible player. As for RR Garcia... Malas lang talaga at magulo talaga yung FEU team.
Now to wait and see what happens this weekend... If UST will end DLSU's win streak or not. Of course it seems more beneficial to Ateneo's final 4 chances if La Salle wins.
Haha. Kiefer is in a slump right now and its possibly due to his injury. Its hard when you dont have your legs with you. Mukhang his shot changed too. If he's not a scoring threat, he could do better to create opportunities for the others; its obvious that he's one of the most checked players on the team.
Tama din yung observation that Newsome still has to learn more on man-to-man defense. He was actually a point guard back in the US AFAIK.
OBF!
So true, my uncle is a loyal fan of the blue eagles from way back (time pa daw ni ritchie ticzon and vince hizon, classmate niya). Puro talo daw yun time na yun. Pero somehow mas reasonable siya this season. Kasi school team ito, you lose player to graduation, its enevitable.
Sanay kasi tao na to jump on the bandwagon, esp. if its winning. Besides ngayon everybody is a basketball expert.
Hahaha! Sweetlucious is right - everyone's an expert...
Bilog ang bola. Bilog ang mundo. Let's watch em all play and leave it all on the court.
And yes, Ray Ray Parks deserves a ring. He's worthy of the MVP. Romeo is a scoring machine, but MVP? Nah!

May hinahabol pa bang twice to beat ang la salle? Kung wala na pwede naman nila ilaglag ang laro para sa UST para hindi makapasok ang ateneo sa F4..
pwede?
mga atenista, sino may gusto niyo manalo dlsu o ust?
pagnanalo dlsu may habol yata sa twice to beat adv, kaya sana manalo kami hehehe
