UAAP RULES SANCTIONS 1.A suspended athlete shall not be allowed to sit in the bench and its immediate vicinity during the period of suspension. A violation of the condition of the suspension shall result in the forfeiture of the game where such suspended athlete was found present. 2.The presence of a suspended coach, manager, assistant manager, statistician, scorers, masseurs, etc. and those listed as members of the team shall not be allowed in the bench or venue dining the period of suspension. A violation of the condition of the suspension shall result in the forfeiture of the game where such suspended team official or member was found present.

Sablay Coach. Expect ko na yun forfeit by tomorrow if maprove he was in the arena. But people are saying Olivares was behind UE's bench. And Torres was interviewed as well nun ADMU/DLSU game. Not sure where he was seated though. Immediate vicinity ba means behind the bench siguro right?

If suspension means that you cannot go to the venue, be near the venue or what have you, then tama ito at paano na yung mga suspended players who were also at the "vicinity" as per the rules above? Yung mga suspended players nanood pa nga ng laro.

Eh di forfeited rin yung panalo ng DLSU, UE, FEU (RR Garcia case) etc.

Si RR Garcia din naman nakita sa loob ng arena. Pati si Thomas Torres, what they need to confirm is saan sila nakaupo.

Kung yung coach eh bawal sa arena mismo, eh forfeited nga win ng ateneo against UE. If so, eh di hindi na sila tie ng ust sa 4th?

Rules are rules but my thoughts are that UE's bickering on it will ruin the spirit of the game if the game is forfeited. If Ateneo is forfeited of it's win and the interpretation of the rules are correct, then so be it. Ganyan talaga ang buhay, and i hope the Ateneo community will just man up to it.

Anyway, here are other suspended player sightings which were left well enough alone.

25th August 2013, UAAP 76, Match #40 between UE and Far Eastern University (FEU) where RR Garcia was seen in the immediate vicinity of the FEU bench;

· 31st August 2013, UAAP 76, Match #44 between UE and National University (NU) where Charles Mammie and Lord Casajeros were seen in the immediate vicinity of the UE bench;

· 1st September 2013, UAAP Season 76, Match #46 between AdMU and De La Salle University where Thomas Torres was seen sitting on the DLSU bench and the immediate vicinity of the bench

· 4th September 2013, UAAP Season 76, Match #48 between UE and DLSU where Lord Casajeros was seen in the immediate vicinity of the UE bench.

That's just pointing out what happened before that went without a word of protest, and it's considered moot and academic only since protests can only be filed within 24 hours of the game.

Mas clear cut ang rules with regards to the coaching staff. Magulo yun sa player, within the vicinity while yun sa coach sa venue talaga. Dito nalalabas yun sportsmanship ng mga teams or win at all cost attitude.
