IMHO, if I were coaching the opposing team, I'd let him shoot as much as he wants from far out and deny his teamates the opportunity to score.

Yes, Romeo is a scorer but not a very efficient one as he tends to jack up a lot of shots to get his points.

One thing i noticed, yesterday you saw Parks Jr. dish off the ball to an open teammate (Villamor) for the crucial trey... with Romeo, he would have dribbled the ball ala Kobe and taken the shot even if the all his opponents and coaching staff were guarding him.

I wouldn't make Romeo the MVP if im looking for a Quality player. Parks really deserve to be an MVP every year.

Anyway, Give Newsome a bit more time to finely tune his game, he will be unstoppable.

Kung ganyan kasi, dapat penalized din yung mga suspended players na nasa likod ng bench.

I bet no one was able to foresee this. Masyado kasing mapulitika ang uaap board. Leave the game to the players.

Buti hindi forfeited. Newsome needs to improve defensive skills, rebounding and become a better facilitator and he is an MVP caliber player na nga.

If they forfeited ADMU's win, then they also have to forfeit the wins of other schools. Since they can't do this, they did the next best thing: let ADMU play UST without their head coach.

No they can NOT forfeit the the won games of other schools bec. there was no protest filed nor clarifications.

FYI there a prescribed period for filing protests. 48hrs. And not when you're caught violating a rule that you suddenly ask for clarification on the rules violated by other schools.

As for the conspiracy, that just wont fly. Ateneo came out unscathed from the incident.

The period for filing protests only applies to situations affecting the results of the games. Besides, mandatory ang language ng rule, very clear cut. You dont need to protest that kasi the rules state mismo that if you violate the conditions of suspension, forfeit dapat ang games. No ifs, no buts, and certainly no need for a board meeting.

Kaya kung fair talaga lahat, forfeit lahat ng games na may violations. Ayaw lang gawin ng ibang schools kasi tatamaan din sila eh. Kaya they did the only possible option left na di cla maapektuhan, which is isuspend ulit for one game si coach bo.

Kung the 48 hr period applies to all rules, eh di sana d nasuspend ang la salle when they fielded benitez and gatchalian. Pag rules on discipline and eligibility, the 48 hr period cannot and should not be used to frustrate the spirit of the rules.

If you want it to be fair, then it should have been replay of the game, bec. both school violated the rules. And besides di kawalan si bo even if sinuspended siya. Sandy is more then capable of handling the team.
Pansin ko lang masyado kang affected wala si bo sa bench, all my ateneo friends didn't give a damn kung nandyan siya o wala.

No, para maging fair dapat iforfeit lahat, kasi yun ang sabi ng rules eh. Wala naman na talaga dapat pagusapan sa board meeting. Wala naman sa rules yang replay2x **** na yan eh, ang nasa rules forfeit. Yan ang fair.

On a side note, one less mind in the ateneo bench is still a handicap. Whether Sandy can turn that into a blessing, malalaman natin after the game.

No one protested this controversy, it was La Salle that admitted to the UAAP that fake yung docs. nina Benitez and Gatchalian. Now as for Palou asking for the removal of DLSU board reps? Trying to muddle the issue eh?

Strange decision. This interpretation of the rules leaves the door wide open for those suspended to choose when to serve their suspension since anyway, if this is not served now, then the UAAP will just ask me to serve this at some future game.

IMHO, the decision should have been to observe the status quos, i.e. no forfeiture of games, and then issue a clarification/interpretation of the rules moving forward for the compliance of all. This way, wala ng excuse for future violations. Imposing the suspension again when it was effectively served the first time does not help and creates more questions than answers.

On the other hand, ADMU did well without Perasol so I take it as a good sign for the game versus UST next week, herherher

The decision will serve a bad precedent, so if a suspended player was fielded in, he will be allowed to play and serve the suspension the following game or when he sees convenient.

That's the problem w having no permanent commissioner and independent members on the board. Rules are open to interpretation, and vested interests rule.

Anyway, Ateneo has to play hard and make sure Kiefer and Ryan bring their A game for the rest of the season.
