waah! mavs got screwed! final minute,mavs down by only 1 & rallying, wade elbows nowitzki and guess who gets called for a foul? the game ended there, they lost all momentum...haay! anyways, enough w/ my rant. phantom calls notwithstanding, the heat played like they deserved it. unlike dallas (it still leaves a bad taste in the mouth though, championships should be won by players & coaches, not refs & the league)... congrats to the heat fans! here's to the mvp wade (close 2nd daw sa MVP votes---the refs and stern! herher!)

I believe the Mavs lost its aggressiveness after the game 3 collapse, never fully regained it. Refs will almost always reward the aggressive team. Alonzo Mourning was a huge defensive presence with 5 blocks providing a much needed boost after O'neal picked up his 5th foul, Antoine Walker showed up with a double double, Udonis Haslem hit some key shots, and ofcourse Finals MVP Dwayne Wade, playing a notch above King James and Kobe, he took his game to another level, he now has the complete package, virtually unguardable. I bet teams will come up with the "Wade rules" when next season starts.

It will be an interesting fantasy draft can't wait.

Now after a great playoffs, we suffer over 4 months without NBA basketball...

I'm a dallas fan but crying foul is just low-balling the game... Miami won the title fair and square, the mavs are too busy bitchin about this and that but if you watch the game, they have been settling for a 2-man game and fadeaways more than anything else. They didn't deserve to win this.

If they attacked the rim as much as Wade does, crashes the board as much as Haslem did, that's a different issue.

Shaq was not a factor and Mavs still failed to get anything going inside and getting spanked by Zo... Lousy performance in a do-or-die game.

After the trap, he was friggin wide open to WALK to the rim if he wants to, to cut the lead down to one and force someone to shoot FT... Instead, he takes an off-balance 3 despite his poor shooting night...

Zo made his case of deserving this ring, my goodness, he was impenetrable during the 2nd half... Toine and Haslem finally got the groove on... And another Horry-like 3 by Posey...

Mavs didn't do squat... If not because of Daniels' 2nd half aggressiveness, they'll be down by 20 siguro... I hate the fact that Dirk didn't drive to the hoop even once sa 4th Qtr when 2 guys are in the paint... You're 7 feet tall... Draw fouls!

I'm an official Wade fan... (Not Heat) His performance during this whole season looked effortless. I'm speechless about him.

Laker fan talaga ako, but after beat the Spurs and won me a bet I didn't want to bail on them...

I didn't see the Dirk I saw in the SA series, the one that attacked the rim relentlessly. Maybe it was Shaq's or Zo's presence but thats not excuse. He took way too much 3's in this series. Obviously the game 3 collapse was a big blow, they weren't the same ever since, it put a dent in their confidence.

I was not busy at the office for the past two weeks but beleieve it or not, I was awfully busy this morning so I totally missed the damn game if not for some txt updates of my broder....but when I read the articles this afternoon at ESPN especially the one by The Sports Guy....Miami's first championship was pictured ugly and tainted with conspiracy theories about how the NBA and the refs connived to manipulate the outcome of the games. Wow....such low level barbs man.

HEAT are champs because of MAVS game 3 debacle. MAVS as a team allowed Wade to become more than what he is. He was the only constant in that series. If that was the Spurs the Heat are against, I doubt if Wade can shake off Bowen's D. Whichever way we picture the improvement Dallas' D had over the past season, they've not yet reached the rep of the former champs Spurs and Pistons to become one themselves. And oftentimes it's nice to prove the ESPN people wrong....MIAMI as CHAMPS is their ultimate "karma"...crazy, crazy season. This early, I doubt if Heat can repeat as Champs....or if GP will play another season.

One clincher though and a true one at that, I get to proudly wear my GP20 shoes again in pick up games...playing my "old and washed up game" but hitting game winners or suck it to their throat jumpers. Oh and just one more coincidence or a force of nature thing, it's my first time also after some 13 seasons and 3 finals apperances to become champs in our tournament last April. Maybe it was the reason also why at the start of the NBA finals and for no particular reason, I bought my son a MIAMI HEAT school trolley bag....crazy or is it just me?
