hmmm interesting scenario, we all know antawn did flourish as a individual in GS but didnt lifted the team into the next level.

but with an solid lineup, he's a good fourth option to have.

i'd say its a nice trade for dallas.

as i read espn, 8 players pala involve dito.
van exel as we know is in the trading block last season pa.
tapos eschmeyer, popeye jones, avery johnson, mga patapon na ng dallas ito. as they get chris mills, (pede pa kahit konti) jiri welsh/danny fortson, another big men so pede ng mawala si raef or trade him suwerte ang dallas pag natuloy ito,

    j. rich nalang ang go to guy ng GS...

gone are the days of GS with spree and cwebb.

3 PGs for the warriors: van exel, speedy claxton and avery johnson.

Parang forever lottery team ang GS.... along with the Clips....

Ang daming dumaan na malupit na players diyan.... CWeb, Joe Smith etc...

As in dumadaan at hindi tumatagal. I think kumikita management nila tuwing may trade.

For me both Dallas and GS will benefit sa 8 player trade na ito.

GS badly needs an excellent PG to replace Arenas. Speedy is good but is better as off the bench player. Avery can provide veteran minutes as third string PG for GS. Van Excel is a perfect fit for this team. They need a PG who can really score and is not afraid to take crucial shots.

GS also need to unload Jamison & Fortson because Troy Murphy has earned his spot on the team & Mike Dunleavy has shown his worth during the summer league.

Starting Five of GS Dampier (C), Murphy (PF), Dunleavy (SF), Richardson (SG), Van Excel (PG)

On the other hand, Dallas needs strong inside players & rebounders like Jamison and Fortson. They will be sliding La Frentz at center while Jamison or Fortson * PF, Nowitzki at SF, Nash and Finley at 1 & 2 spots. Bradley will come off the bench as backup center. Chris Mills and Jiri Welsh gives Mark Cuban's team depth on the bench.
