freeagent rasheed will get out of portland. as to get nothing in return portland uses the old trade way.
portland got some "nice" players and beefed up the frontline,

atlanta naman will absorb sheed's contract and take it off the book next season, to lure other free agents or sign sheed

for me both Atlanta and Portland benefited in the 5 player trade deal.

With the acquisition of Ratliff, Rahim and Dickau, the Trailblazers boosts its chances of getting a spot in the playoffs. Ratliff is terrific shotblocker and rebounder. He is much better at the 5 position than Dale Davis who is undersized at center. Rahim is uncomfortable playing PF in Atlanta. He's a natural SF at 6'9. He can take the SF spot in the starting lineup and slide Darius Miles at SG. Dickau who's from Portland logged good stats when he took Mookie Blaylocks starting PG position. Unfortunately, Atlanta's coach decided they're better off with Jason Terry (who was the SG at the time) to be the PG. He can be good reliever for Stoudamire since they're only reserved PG is Omar Cook. Derek Anderson can play point but he plays best at SG.

The Hawks on the other hand finally achieved its plan of rebuilding their team next season. Their masterplan is to ensure all the players in their roster has expiring contracts by the end of the season. Rasheed may play "the pain in the ass" role in the team since he has nothing to lose after all. He will explore the free agency next season. Unless he likes it at Atlanta (its a nice city) and decides to show off a little bit and demand for juicy contract with the Hawks. Aging Wesley Person may retire next season unless a team signs him for a veterans minumum.

btw, I am looking forward for the All-Star Weekend. I hope Peja and J-Richardson knocks their 3rd win in the annual 3point shootout and slam dunk. They will go for the record.

For the 3 point shootout its anybody's game. For the slam dunk, the J-Richardson 's opponents are not really that superb. J-Richardson playing against Ricky Davis, Frank Jones and Chris Andersen. They should have invited Darius Miles and Lebron James in the slam dunk comp.

sir kimpoy, the hawks can't lure AI anymore di ba ng extend na sya ng contract sa sixers. ok na sana yung lineup ng hawks noon. reef, big dog, terry, ratliff kaso wala ka laman laman yung bench nila. cguro sa coach na rin kelangan na rin palitan.

PK, si hakeem kasi early retirement, his contract is still in the books for the toronto raptors, pwede mong i trade ang contract.

remember the t-wolves traded terrell brandon maski retired na siya, kasi his contract will come off the books, malaking bagay yung sa over the salary cap teams

ok yung trade ng knicks, nagkaroon ng size dahil kay mohammed, konti na lang ang gas ni motumbo, nagkaroon pa ng versatile/agile tim thomas

Isiah Thomas was keen on trading Keith Van Horn. He's the only dispensable and tradeable player in the Knicks lineup. Van Horn is a terrible defender. Tim Thomas and and Mohammed are good additions in the team. Thomas can play both PF and SF positions while Mohammed is a younger Mutombo/Ratliff clone.

Bucks will definitely like Van Horn's offensive mentality. Especially in a team with really no legit star player. He will share the scoring chores with Michael Redd.

After giving away their available centers (Ratliff and Mohammed) they badly needed replacement centers. Getting 2 white seven footers (Pryzbilia and Doleac) seems nice. These 2 are blue collared players who loves to rebound and block shots.
