Luloym: Team's true worth comes on in April, when they win the finals hehe...
ILUVDETAILING: The big word is "IF", if Steve Francis dribbles less, he'll be unstoppable... If Shaq works on his freethrow, no more hack a Shaq... and since he doesn't he's not currently a good passer then... An attribute should be based on results and stats, not potential... Yao has the potential to block 10 and rebound 20 every game... he came to the league at 18 btw, bawal ang under 18 sa NBA.

"Fundamentally Sound" can be subjective, well almost all the players in the NBA are have good fundamentals, the great ones simply work harder at their fundamentals/skills and add more to their game every year... KG, Kobe, MJ in his prime are good examples, KG is nearing his prime and I feel is a better player than TD, Kobe is also nearing his prime and has added a move or two in his arsenal every year, As for MJ well you know the story. TD and Karl Malone (in his prime) are very good but not better that KG in terms of all around brilliance. Peace
mmm... bawal na pala under 18 ngayon.
Anyway Tabuse is with the Phoenix Suns if am not mistaken.

November 6th, 2004 09:31 AM #1775correct, kahit ynug mga kalaro dito sa amin fundamentally sound,
kaya nga may training camp, prospected players are only invited.
also correct that the great ones (once) work harder to add more to their game,
sadly to other players they loose their fundamental sitting on the bench/injuries/age, they lose a step as they say.

mikaztro: mmm... How can you include Deshawn Stevenson and Eddie Griffin on your list of "underated" fundamentally sound players???
DeShawn Stevenson:
(good fundamentals but lacking in experience & direction)
23rd pick overall of the 2000 NBA Draft from Washington HS. With 12 ppg, 4rebs, 2asts average last year playing for Orlando. Player with no College ball experience whatsoever.
Eddie Griffin:(defensive oriented player with satisfactory shooting)7th pick overall in 2001.
Drafted out of Seton Hall. led Seton Hall with averages of 17.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 4.4 blocks.
Made the NBA rookie team 01-02. In 01-02 became the first rookie and just the sixth player in NBA history to average more than one blocked shot and one 3-pointer made per game in a season. With averages last year of (9ppg, 2blks, 6rebs in 25mins of action).

It doesn't mean that a player with no college ball experience doesn't posses good fundamentals. Kobe, Lebron, Tmac, Garnett to name a few have it. They just have to learn teamanship and elevate their leadership potential just as Kobe & Garnett do right now. Through time, they will achieve it with ease.Last edited by mikaztro; November 6th, 2004 at 11:23 AM.

I saw Eddie Griffin play a couple of seasons ago before he got busted, he's strictly a 3 point shooter, no low post moves, good at help defense, not so sure about his straight up defense. What am trying to say is that he lacks the commitment to develop his skills further, maybe he has the raw talent and good fundamentals but he has yet to show the willingness to put in the time to develop. Sure he's was a good college player and made the all rookie team, but he has not progressed enough, if at all.
Same can be said for Stevenson (Good midrange shooter, suspect handle, average passer very athletic). Sure he has good averages, but he plays for a lottery team, he has not developed his game enough in his 3 or 4 years in the L.
Like what I said before almost all the players in the NBA have good fundamentals, its a matter of putting in the time to develop their skills.

That is the sad part, some if we may call them under-rated players are always under the shadow of the more popular players. Their talent and fundamentals gone to waste.

Surprise surprise the Magic are now 2-0 thanks to a couple of Franchise's buzzer beaters. Rockets are 0-2. Kings 0-2.
Watch out for the Nuggets and Timberwolves, if they meet again in the playoffs there will be lots of fireworks. Kenyon Martin will be huge.
Tabuse is officially the 1st Japanese player in signed in the NBA... great news. Kailan kaya tayo magkakaroon ng player sa NBA.
Thread was made nung 2018 pa po sir.
