Steve Nash should be MVP, his arrival in Phoenix made a huge impact on them this year, a complete turnaround from a so so team last year.

I think Shaq should win the award...just look at the line up of the HEAT & SUNS...sa SUNS magagaling lahat ng starters nila...ilipat mo sa kahit anong team pwdeng maging starter lahat ng mga yun...for MIA Shaq, Wade n Jones lng ang starters, where in Jones might not even start ANYMORE for other teams...

w/o Shaq Heat can't win...Suns can still win w/o Nash..

    opinion ko lng po...

aann: This season, records show otherwise, Suns lose BADLY when Nash aint running the show, while the Heat was doing fine when Shaq was out.

Back to the Van Gundy case... After realizing the BLATANT noncall of the refs with Finley, wala na yun? Pang "experience' nalang yun? I really think that play screwed up the ending so much.

Det-Phi I feel bad for AI, he had a remarkable season, and again, none of the supporting cast (including lousy webber, hated him kahit sa Kings) helped out...

ok to, mag-start tayo ng mvp debate

as i said before, the only reason i wouldn't give nash the mvp is that he's a liability on defense. but you can't deny that his teammates are much better (2 of them all-stars) in large part because of him.

however, three other players make their teammates better while also playing good defense:

    1. Shaq O'Neal - Damon Jones, Udonis Haslem, Dooling, Laettner etc. playing well? Shaq gets them all the looks they want. plus no one gets easy shots in the lane, and he boards 10+ a game.

    2. Dwyane Wade - see above. like Nash, he makes offense easy for his teammates by drawing all the defense, great passing, and sharp decision-making. the big difference is his defense...great one-on-one defender, great steals guy, excellent rebounder for his size, and what other 6'4" guy regularly rejects shots from PF's and C's? if he develops a 3-point shot next season, let's just give him the MVP and scoring trophies for the next 5 years ;)

    3. Lebron James - he does all the stuff Wade does, but he has a 3-point shot and a post game. classic definition of MVP - without LJ, the Cavs are a CBA team. and the guy seems like he can guard an entire team, much like Scottie Pippen did in his prime. still makes dumb decisions though.

Le Commish is not yet finished with JVD. There will be an investigation after the playoffs, poor Jeff does he reveal his source or face a stiff penalty and a possible suspention.

bati na sila ni Kobe then they start acquiring quality players din

nice input m54, some seasons ago, jason kidd's in the shoe of nash today, propelling the poorly nets in the finals but only to lose the mvp plum to mighty TDuncan.

my vote goes to shaq he really stepped up his rebounding and shared the ball with his teamates

but i really want nash to win...la lang for a change ba.

You can scap off LBJ off the list, his team didn't make the playoffs after a hot start... not a good thing for MVP considerations.

Dwayne Wade: Same situation with Kobe Bryant, he's playing with a dominant big man and it him up for his drives to the basket. The big difference is he's PASSING the ball hehehe... Kobe always has to take the last second shot.

Shaq: He could have won multiple MVP trophies if he wanted to but only has one. Why? He doesn't play hard all the time, and thats my beef with him. He had one really dominant season -> 1999-2000 where he won the MVP. Had he stayed in shape he could have won more championships with LA, and has less injuries. This season is a step slower, and tho a couple of pounds lighter not a dominant defender that he's capable off.

Steve Nash: Tho not a great defender, he plays hard all the time and that gets some votes. His unselfishness is contageous, and he is the cog of the Phoenix offense, Amare may be their best player but without Nash feeding him the ball he wouldn't get as many touches and opportunities to score.

I hope it wont happen to Nash what happend to Jason Kidd when he first moved to the Nets - he made a big impact for the Nets who did'nt make the playoffs the past year. Si duncan ata yun MVP nun...

Mukhang Indy and Detroit sa East Semis!!! Bakbakan uli to!!! Sayang wala si Artest

cardo: same thoughts here, what Kidd did to NJ before was like what Nash did, kaibahan lang is that they're in the tough west....

I like Shaq, but Nash clearly deserves better in terms of numbers and "value" to the team. Shaq will always be dominant, so it should require more basis for him to be a MVP again this season.

Good time for Radman to come back hehe, Ray is just so smooooth...

Ray Allen hit some insane shots including a fall away three, another three with a hand in his face. Question is would he get his max-deal contract extention IF Seattle goes deep into the playoffs? How about the performance of Jerome James, I think he's averaging a double double, after a subpar regular season, contract year perhaps? hehehe

As much as I like Boston (adopted home team hehe), I still want Reggie to go far... If Jermaine wasn't in the line up, I'd be a Pacers fan, I hate that kid hehe...

Mmm.. Reggie Miller could play at least a couple of seasons more. Masyadong maarte si Jermaine O'neal.

Its about time a small white guy who can't jump, can't run, can't defend, but can shoot and pass to win the MVP.
