i am still hopeful that shaq cools off and backs off his trade demands...but that's a sentimental thought since the diesel is starting to decline and kobe is the logical person to build around because of his youth (assuming he's acquitted).

logically, now is the time to get some good value from a trade - not later when he has completely declined (like what happened with olajuwon and ewing)

of all the rumors, i think i like the nowitzki + either nash or howard/walker scenario the best - dallas probably buy themselves a title or two with that trade, but the lakers still remain an elite team - albeit with no good defensive players other than kobe and fox.

Wizards add league's reigning sixth man

Boston general manager Danny Ainge said he had 14 different trades under consideration depending on how teams use their lottery picks, and the Bulls were known to be offering Tyson Chandler to a number of teams.

Ainge denied a report that the Celtics were considering swapping Paul Pierce for Chandler and the No. 3 pick in the draft, while Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban labeled ``false'' a reported offer of Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzki for O'Neal.

Well Dallas just aquired the 5th Pick from the wizards... which they could use to entice the Lakers for Shaq (Nowitzki/Nash/5th pick for Shaq? just a hunch.)

Also bet on Dallas trading Stack/Leattner... no way he and Finley plays on the same team.

    Trade Rumor

The much anticipated trade of T-Mac to the Houston Rockets could bring both Seattle Sonics all-star guard Ray Allen and Miami Heat small forward Caron Butler, in one of several, multiteam still being considered by the Orlando Magic.

Steve Francis, if the T-Mac to Houston deal pushes through, likely would be traded elsewhere. The Magic have talked to Seattle about a Francis-for-Allen trade, also with lesser players involved from both sides. The Magic, at the same time, have talked to the Miami Heat about a trade that would send Cuttino Mobley and forward Drew Gooden in exchange for Caron Butler.

The Miami Heat also have talked to the Orlando Magic about a deal involving Eddie Jones, Brian Grant, and Caron Butler for T-Mac. They would love to put T-Mac together with Lamar Odom, giving them two incredibly versatile swingmen.

In anticipation of getting Steve Francis from Houston, the Magic have also talked to the Washington Wizards about a deal involving point guard Gilbert Arenas, former no.1 pick Kwame Brown.

imo, it would be incredibly stupid for Miami to give up Caron Butler, unless they were to somehow to get T-Mac in return. this guy can do it all, especially on the defensive end, is young, and doesn't have a ridiculous contract. Eddie and Grant are expendable.

in other words, scenario 2 makes sense for the Heat (although Orlando probably wouldn't do it), but scenario 1 doesnt.

this is the first plan ng dallas kaya na trade si jamison for washington's 5th pick ,stackhouse, laetnner. coz dallas wants 7-5 center from italy in the 5th pick na si pavel podkolzine.

pero nag iba na plano nila they take Devin Harris a guard from wisconsin in the 5th pick from WAS. now they are really after for shaq.
