My question is, can the government extend this quarantine period and will the country (people and economy) be able to survive it?

that big Muslim even was one of the reason why Malaysia is currently on lockdown. same scenario sa pinas. hirap din sila mag contact trace, nag appeal sila sa public to come forward yun mga nag attend so they can be monitored. pero parang half lang ang nag out yun iba wala deadma lang. tapos i read somewhere may tinanong na tao na nag attend sa event pero hinde nag come forward. ang katwiran nung tao, wala naman daw siya nararamdaman at bahala na daw yun nasa taas sa kapalaran niya. ok lang sana kung sila lang eh kaso makakapang hawa pa sila.

Mostly daw mga traditional / religious Muslim kaya ayaw maki pag cooperate. Akala mo Abu Sayaff daw na nagtatago ngayon.

There were also 2 religious gatherings this week in Indonesia. The Muslim event got cancelled at the last minute after the authorities were able to convince the organizer to cooperate. The other one, which was Christian went ahead though.

    The reasons are obvious...

DOH sees no need for COVID-19 mass testing yet | Inquirer News

Vergeire admitted that the government is currently having some difficulties with its testing and laboratory capacities with the deluge of patients that needs to be tested.

“We are being challenged right now with our testing capacity and laboratory capacity.. ‘Yung mga nababalita po na medyo may delay, totoo po ‘yun,” she said. (Reports about delay in testing are not true)

However, she assured that the government is already taking all measures to spread and extend the capacities of laboratories in the country.

So far, 1170 COVID-19 tests have been administered in the country. To date, 217 individuals have tested positive for the virus, of which 17 people have died and eight have been able to recover.

buti ka pa. some people can't enjoy thinking that they would not be able to eat for the next day, or meal at worse.

Hope the government does not underestimate the situation we are looking at for the next days

Over 30,000 coronavirus test kits arrive in Cebu

Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Dino, who was at the press briefing, said the test kits were ordered from South Korea.

But can companies afford to pay salaries for more than one month without the employees actually working? I'm also thinking na we could run out of supplies

There is this social media doctor mentioned about Chloroquine as a possible drug against covid-19. I doesn't attack the virus directly but it prevents the virus attaching itself to our cell receptors. We pray that this is the answer and cure while waiting for the vaccine.

You have to make her understand that these are special times. Eat whatever's available if possible.

I bought some bread before I left for vacay, after 30days walang amag lol. they seal the bag for maximum shelf life. This reminds me I need cheese and jams and butter.
