may kausap akong doctor kagabi sabi nya suspicious daw yung namatay na mainlander due pneumonia, sa pneumonia nga sya namatay pero hindi sinabi what causes his pneumonia to trigger.
No need to worry. Our government has been implementing drastic measures to prevent the spread of nCoV in PH. Should an outbreak occur, I'm sure they'll take a pragmatic approach to the problem like China did earlier.
Xi Jinping Vows To Combat Coronavirus By Making It Illegal To Mention Within A Week
What we know so far (as of 30 January):
• It is not a strain of SARS or MERS.
• Its symptoms include, among others, fever, breathing difficulties and coughing, all of which are described as "flu-like" or "pneumonia-like".
• This virus can be transmitted between humans even if the symptoms are not observable.
• There are other countries not on the list with infected citizens (notably Pakistan, with 4) but these patients are all in China.
• There are suspected cases in more countries (like the PH) but there is no concrete information yet that it is the same pathogen.
• No specific treatment yet other than the usual anti-viral meds for coronaviruses. However, the genome has now been mapped and the virus recreated in a lab.
• Mortality rate is roughly 2.2%.
• There are 170 confirmed deaths (all in China) and 7,817 confirmed cases (98.6% of which is within mainland China).
• Origins point to mainland China, with confirmed cases in:
- Thailand (14)
- Hong Kong (11)
- Japan (11)
- Singapore (10)
- Taiwan (8)
- Australia (7)
- Macau (7)
- Malaysia (7)
- France (5)
- USA (5)
- Germany (4)
- South Korea (4)
- UAE (4)
- Canada (3)
- Vietnam (2)
- Cambodia (1)
- Finland (1)
- Nepal (1)
- Sri Lanka (1)

Do you think evacuating foreign countries' citizens was a bad idea?
Wasn't expecting the meticulous Japanese to be this clumsy in handling the evacuation.

And here I thought Duque was a medical doctor and secretary of health. Why does he sound like a diplomat and secretary of foreign affairs here?
Duque rejects ban on Chinese tourists, cites diplomatic, political repercussions >> Manila Bulletin News
Chinese a** kissing foreign policy continues and trumps all else. Ano ba naman yung magka outbreak dito kesa mapahiya kay Pooh. Tanggapin lahat ng may virus na yan.
This isn’t good.
While I did write previously that we ostracized the GI’s in our school, it was because they, and my uncle’s (spoiled brat) guest were jerks. We judged them on their character as persons, not on their race.
Ignorance and fear are the pillars of bigotry.

One reason that allowed the holocaust to happen was because people just looked on.

And if a mainland Chinese patient would come to me seeking help I would still treat him/her to the best of my ability.

I've got a feeling I'm going to get banned on this forum din. Fine. I'll await the flames.
