Mayor Joy Belmonte just confirmed the 50th patient, a 26 year old male from Crame, QC. Apparently, this man was misdiagnosed with dengue by an unnamed private hospital. Upon being checked for a 2nd opinion at another private hospital, that's when the attending physician decided to do a COVID-19 test, which came out positive 24 hours later.

The hospitals involved are not being mentioned, of course. Imagine, for a moment, if this patient had used public transportation from his home to the hospital and back, only to have to travel to another hospital, in a different part of Metro Manila, no less, just to get a second opinion.

Mayor Belmonte also mentioned that neither the patient, nor his family, could figure out how he got COVID-19 as he has no travel history and has not been in contact with any of the 49 other patients listed above.



In other news, the NBA just suspended the remainder of the season indefinitely. Trump has also suspended all flights from continental Europe to the US (UK not included, for now). Tom Hanks and his wife has also tested positive, they are currently in Australia.
