If you're banawe area, you can buy isopropyl alcohol by the gallons at allison's chemicals along araneta avenue.
I bought canned goods (corned beef, tuna and sardines) thru online groceries. Free delivery pa. Minimal price difference if any.
What a time not to have Honestbee around anymore hehe
Ideally, sir, we should avoid going out altogether, since we don't know who's infected or not anymore. That's the best thing to do. But we know how impossible that is for a lot of us.
For me, since I really cannot avoid going out (for now), I concentrate on boosting my immune system and practicing good hygiene.
1) Vitamin C, Vitamin D (25mcg) -- I just read this somewhere, good anti-viral, and other mineral supplements.
2) Gets lots of sleep -- 8 hours ideally -- to give your body the chance to repair itself and be strong against the virus.
3) Drink lots of fluids -- don't dehydrate yourself.
4) Wash hands for no less than 20 seconds as much as possible -- before eating, after going to the bathroom, after handling cash, etc.
5) Avoid constantly touching your face (Mouth, Nose, Eyes).
As added protection, if you have it, wear face mask when you're outside -- P.S. - I don't have face masks, hehheh, as there's none to be bought anymore anywhere and I'm on the wait list from all the usual sources since last week, but I'm not holding my breath for that call, not in this situation.
On the possibility of a lockdown, we must have essentials on hand, good for whatever we think the lockdown will last. 2 weeks? 1 month? No one really knows, so just use your best guess.
Essentials like :
1) Maintenance Medicines -- if you need them.
2) Rice - staple in our home
3) Canned goods (long expiration)
4) Alcohol and disinfectants -- you want your surrounding clean even at home
5) LPG - if you use them for cooking
The list above is not exhaustive, as it's just off the top of my head. Others have given their own list, too.
I did not need to panic buy any more as we usually keep a month or more worth of groceries on hand even during normal times.
If you think you have come into contact with someone who has the virus, you can practice self-quarantine for at least 14 days, I guess. Observe yourself if you're gonna get sick and/or develop symptoms.
Lastly, I believe also in the power of prayer, that usually helps too.
Good luck to all of us, we're all in this together.![]()

Yes, there are endless possibilities and worst-case scenarios that the mind can come up with, and the internet doomsayers alarming everyone does not help either. You can't plan for all those possibilities -- you'll probably go insane first.Best to take it all one day at a time.
Like talk of lockdown is rife now, but what can you really do but accept it when it comes and hope it won't be as bad as you think it will be.
Ang luwag ng Ayala CBD kala mo holiday.
Yung iba daw work from home na until April.
