Iniipt talaga ng Japan si China... hehehe. Pati mga HK airlines including Cathay binawal sa ibang Japanese Airports.

The Japanese government on Tuesday asked three Hong Kong airlines to halt their flights to Sapporo, Fukuoka and Naha, as it seeks to limit arrivals amid an explosion of Covid-19 cases in China.
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Japan would require all travellers from the mainland to take Covid-19 tests on arrival from Friday.
It would also only allow direct flights from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau to land at four airports – Narita, Haneda, Kansai and Chubu – and had requested Japanese airlines not to increase such flights.
Hong Kong’s flagship airline Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Airlines and Hong Kong Express Airways had been asked to suspend their flights to the three destinations from Friday.

Also Japan's eight COVID wave is on the downtrend after peaking at 170k new cases.

Funny and scary at the same time. We are with my 2 sisters in AU plus another extended families of 3, so 6 all in all with 3 or 4 kids each, so easy 20+ people meeting almost everyday and once in a while you hear someone coughing or sneezing with weather hitting almost 40C in 1 day only to drop to 16C the following day. I myself is experiencing sore throat but we do not wear mask anymore. Practically living with the virus.

P.S. i discovered Codral is quite effective in managing the symptoms.

Considering na you need to get RT-PCR test on arrival at the airport and another one 2 days later in Hong Kong... So no big deal there...hehehe

In an interview with reporters on the sidelines of an event in Pasay City, Bautista said the country “should be very cautious” in accepting inbound travelers from China.

As to what strict measures should be imposed on travelers from China, the Transportation chief is proposing RT-PCR testing upon arrival.

“In Hong Kong, they are now open but need RT-PCR test. We can also do that,” Bautista said in a mix of Filipino and English.

“We will look at what other countries are doing… Other ASEAN countries are also cautious in accepting Chinese visitors,” he said.

Back to page 1 of this thread but the illness is no longer mysterious and we now have a chance to do something about this, notwithstanding the lack of transparency, accountability, openness, and data integrity of the tsaynis government.

Ingat pa din talaga dapat tayo. My niece got covid 19 over the Christmas holidays. She's ok Naman though. She Probably got it from her University (nanood at nakipagsiksikan ata Kasi sa uaap) or maybe from her mom who is heavily exposed in hospitals.

No need RT-Pcr test upon arriving at the airport and on second day after arrival in Hong Kong starting today. But will need to present 24 to 48 negative RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen test result and your internationally accepted vaccination card...

Hong Kong will cancel its stringent COVID-19 rules from Thursday, city leader John Lee said, meaning that arrivals will no longer need to do mandatory PCR tests while the city's vaccine pass would also be scrapped.

Its not the same as in 2019-2020 nga though.

We have (some) immunity now due to exposure (endemic na) and vaccines which "blunt" the course of the disease, but deadly pa rin to the weak, elderly and immunocompromised so we still have to take reasonable precautions not to catch it and pass it on, because that's what a good person would do (may malasakit sa kapwa).

All I'm saying is perhaps testing on arrival may be a good idea if matindi yung outbreak where one is from.

When i booked my Cathay pacific Flight to Japan/Sapporo 2 months ago, walang direct flight form Hong Kong to Sapporo. Had to book a low cost Japanese airline to get to Chitose Airport(Sapporo). Same with PAL which has stopped flights from Manila to Sapporo.

My worry now is that my Cathay Pacific Flight has a stop over in Hong Kong going to Tokyo.
Hopefully i wont need the same Strict Covid entry measure meant for Chinese Tourist.
