Someone told me last sunday na magdedclare na nga daw si Duterte kaya nag hoard na kami ng groceries sunday night.

The one in Timog QC is from the Victoria Towers condo daw. Hassle that's where I go to the gym sometimes. Double whammy ako with the greenhills & timog!

Hmmm I have a feeling madami na talaga infected sa atin, but DOH/Government is just releasing the numbers pa konti konti para hinid mag panic mga tao.

Yup, I think a lot of people are incubating the virus, sir, not showing any symptoms or just having mild and tolerable symptoms. When it is "ripe", boom, these people show full blown serious symptoms and that's the time they will be tested for the virus. As each test costs upwards of 5k each, government is conserving their test kits and have no incentive to test every suspect.

Hey, it is not DOH's fault their budget was considerably slashed this year by our Beloved President.

Nag grocery na ako, bought different kind of canned goods, konti na lang ang 70% alcohol, mostly 40%, I'll buy rice tomorrow, I didn't buy toilet papers, meron akong 1 year supply galing China hahahaha.

Hehe guilty ako. I went to Landers yesterday and bought toilet paper, maybe 100 cans of various spam, corned beef, sardines, cooking oil, extra rice, lysol, etc.

Oh yeah and extra scotch...wahahaha.


Going back later for batteries, flashlights, and other stuff i forgot to buy.

the 2nd is more likely than the first. but the lack of attached pertinent data in the DOH press releases is very frustrating and infuriating.

i just came back from the groceries here in makati. wala naman long lines. really funny is naubos nga ang toilet paper; sa canned goods naman yun tuna ang medyo ubos. the rest of the stocks are fine. what the fsck is up with that?

Pero dahil may ilang kaso na ng local transmission ng COVID-19 sa Pilipinas, paano malalaman kung ang nararamdamang sintomas ay ordinaryong trangkaso o COVID-19?

Some good news about the UP developed test kit for the virus --



"MANILA, Philippines – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of COVID-19 test kits developed by University of the Philippines (UP) scientists.

The FDA said on Tuesday, March 10, that it issued a Certificate of Exemption for the SARS CoV-2 PCR Detection Kit of the University of the Philippines-National Institute of Health (UP-NIH).

The kit, funded by the Department of Science and Technology, will be used for field testing coupled with gene sequencing at the Philippine Genome Center, the FDA said in a statement.

Heath Undersecretary Eric Domingo, FDA chief, said that the use of the locally-developed test kits would help address the "increasing number of reported COVID-19 cases" that "require immediate diagnosis and monitoring.""

Yup, incubating period is so long sometimes (more than 21 days). And the lack of test kits is not helping too. Result? Exponential rise in confirmed cases.

really sad, but how can they get tested though, eh mukhang kulang na kulang ang test kits. plus only ritm has the capability to do this in house. and only five other locations have recently been approved/accredited.

Hahaha bought it last year, usually I send 6-7 boxes (or about 300 rolls) of toilet papers to the Philippines for home use, that good for about a year or so.

Then again, how "long" before it blows over, I wonder? Government says to stock for "two weeks". I say it will be longer, but that's just me.

Not really panicking yet, but the push towards the end of that cliff is just around the corner, I feel.
