In the US, Pfizer booster shot is the same as the 1st and 2nd dose which is 30 mcg. But are strictly for those who are immunocompromised, And those ages 60 yo and older. Moderna dose is 100mcg for the 1st and 2nd, only 50 mcg for the third.

Kaya malakas yung Moderna and last longer vs Pfizerr even among the elderly. Yung Pfizer is already waning after 4 months and below 40% efficacy by the sixth month. Yung nga lang Moderna is no longer given in some European countries to MALES who are 30 yo and younger because of Myocarditis.

I have a friend who just came out of COVID quarantine and looking for a mRNA shot. Told him to try the MegaVax site. He registered via EASYVAX and is now scheduled tomorrow morning. Will follow up with him if totoong MODERNA na libre...hehehe

Ewan ko lang kung doctor ba nagbibigay ng shots sa US e sa pharmacy lang ata sila nagsho shot so I assume nurse lang?

I read a similar thing as Mons. Iba daw dose ng moderna for 3rd dose.
No clear guidelines coming from the WHO, CDC and our own DOH regarding booster shots with mRNA who previously had Sinovac.
A relative in the US who got sinovac here was told na kailagan yung 2 dose regimen ng mRNA daw ang ituturok sa kanya as booster.

plus the Moderna they were offering is 2 dose regimen. sayang yung 2nd dose ng moderna since

    A new sub-variant DELTA PLUS ...

Calls for Covid 'Plan B' as new Delta sub-variant emerges

"The restrictions are gone, but the virus certainly hasn't – and with cases surging in the UK there is fresh concern over a new sub-variant dubbed Delta Plus.

Life has returned to normal for millions in Britain since Covid restrictions were abandoned over the UK summer. But some are now questioning for how long with experts calling for a pandemic Plan B.

Many scientists are now calling on the government to reimpose social restrictions and speed up booster vaccinations as coronavirus infection rates, already Europe’s highest, rise further still."

For me I'd still want Sinovac as it is a traditional vaccine.

Which implies a wrong strategy by the govt. Ideally equal allocation among vaccines. Diversity is stability.

MOH Singapore Advisory for Male youth receiving mRNA shots...

Individuals who have received mRNA Covid-19 vaccines should avoid strenuous activities for 2 weeks.

This is twice the duration that MOH had advised earlier in July.

The risk of myocarditis and pericarditis, however, remains low at just 1.06 cases per 100,000 doses administered.

Since youths have a higher likelihood of such side effects, it is important for them to avoid all strenuous exercise or physical activities. Though those who suffered from the side effect experienced it within a week, some only experienced it after 2 weeks.

Therefore, to take precautions, MOH has advised all vaccinated patients, particularly adolescents and younger persons, to rest for at least 2 weeks.

Young males aged 30 and below should also take precautions as occurrence tends to be higher for them.

Anyone who develops chest pain, shortness of breath or palpitations, must seek medical attention immediately.

Unless it turns into a major INDIA size Delta surge, this variant will turn out to like the Mu, Kappa and Epsilon... variants of no concern. As ULS said, tinatakot lang tayo ng western media.
