if the nearest source of the virus is at least xx meters away from your walk,

    do it in broad daylight.

personally, however, if i had a choice, i wouldn't tempt fate.

but how do we know "there are many cases in the area" ?
normally kasi, these things are kept secret by the afflicted from the afflictable..

Sunlight and UV rays kills the virus whether its the UK variant or the south african strain or the original china strain. Plus the wind outside dissipates the virus particles.Try to walk tangahaling tapat para mas malakas sikat ng araw. don't forget to put sunblock lang. hehe

    sabi ng pilosopo kong cow-league,
"magpabakuna na kayo ngayon. who knows, it might just save your life against the classic variant, so's you can worry about the S.A. variant later on."
    i agree.

In previously published studies, Pfizer had found that its vaccine neutralized other more contagious variants first identified in the United Kingdom and South Africa, although the South African variant may reduce protective antibodies elicited by the vaccine.

Baka wala nanaman may alam dahil walang study, walang data.

    In sinovac we trust!

Philippines, Novavax to sign deal for 3 million COVID-19 shots mid-week: Palace | ABS-CBN News

as far as i'm concerned i never said sinovac's vaccine was very good

it cannot compete with mRNA vaccines

it's not even as effective as adenoviral vector vaccines (Astra, J&J)

but at least introducing your immune system to inactivated SARSCOV2 makes your body better prepared to fight when you meet the live virus

kaysa first encounter live virus agad

i mean habang wala pa ung preferred vaccine mo

tulad ngayon kumakalat uli ang virus

asan ung pfizer and moderna niyo?

by the end of March i think naka 2 dose na mga nag sinovac

so at least they are better protected already than those who got ZERO vaccine

that's not to say they'll be walking around without protection

syempre 1st line defense parin PPE

pero kung may virus nakalusot, meron sila 2nd line defense -- antibodies generated by the vaccine

Wala din ako issue sa sinovac, Any vaccines that's available and kahit 50% lang effect niya is better than nothing.

Issue ko is bakit ibang pharma nilabas nila data nila and transparent sila bakit itong sinovac eh napaka secretive?

Let the experts review yun data then if ok.naman then wala.ng issue whether it's made by China.

In fact nag sign up na ako sa 3 MM cities kung sino maganda implementation ng vaccine roll out doon ako papabakuna.

Meron question doon kung ano preferred brand and lagi ko sagot either of the above then meron why sagot ko some protection is better than nothing.

PPE is last line of defense. it is also the least effective.
the earlier line of defense, and also more effective than PPE, is avoiding the virus source and/or its vectors/carriers.

so kung HCW ka and di ka nagpaturok ng sinovac for whatever reason...

now the hospital you're working at is seeing a surge of covid patients

di ko alam ano iniisip mo

are you thinking "i wish i got the vaccine like my coworkers did"?

    i dunno

"ok lang... i'll wait for pfizer"

If available moderna at pfizer, syempre yun pipiliin ko. Pero kelan pa darating? Hanggang order nalang.

Nagpajnject na ako ng sinovac. At least may proteksyon kesa wala. Lahat naman vaccine protects you from severe covid.20210303_162448.jpg20210303_162452.jpg

Siyempre na factor-in na nila yun risk and if the HCW ang mismong nasa front and center in the fight against covid, I'll never question their choice.

Eh kaso olats eh. Ano ba dahilan ni Bong Go?
