You can't speak for my relatives. These are doctors na basta brand lang ang basis?!? HCW nga sa PGH ayaw ng sinovac e so they're not alone in this.

You're beginning to sound like another member here na mas magaling pa sa doctor at tingin sa lahat ng tao pasosy. Tapos ayaw tanggapin na hindi lahat ng tao pareho ang gusto sa kanya. I rest my case.

It's not about status symbol. Ako papayag sa sinovac as long as ilabas nila data ng trials nila and let a third party independet reviewers tingnan yun data.

Bakit sobrang special dito ng sinovac? Walang data ng phase 3 trial pero approved na ng FDA, pag ibang vaccines intayin pa result ng trials?

Yan din naman issue ng healthworkers eh ayaw ilabas yun data ng sinovac.

Ano ba talaga problema bakit Hinde mailabas para matapos na yun question sa sinovac.

Hanggang wala pa rin akong nababasa ano dahilan bakit tinatago nila.

It cuts both ways. Huwag pilitin yun ayaw sa sinovac at the same time walang pumipigil mag volunteer na mauna sa mga may gusto.

Ang daming ayaw sa sinovac pero wala rin naman mga nag volunteer.

Si Harrietta Roque, dapat siya mauna or Duque. Mga cabinet secretaries nagsabi na huwag matakot sa sinovac mag volunteer sila.

Yun lang issue ko sa sinovac. Ilabas nila data ng trials nila tapos ibang doctors magsabi kung ano ba talaga ang result.

May mali ba diyan sa demand ng mga HCW na hingin sa kanila yun?

Saka talang inutil itong FDA. Nag approved sila na hinde complete yun data na submit ng sinovac. Eh di pag ganyan din yun mga nag trials sa atin now approve na rin nila bakit pa nila antayin result?

Thailand started rolling out its Covid-19 inoculation program with Sinovac Biotech Ltd.’s vaccine as the Southeast Asian nation tries to revive its pandemic-hit tourism industry.

Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-Ocha on Sunday presided over the kickoff of the program, with a group of healthcare workers receiving the vaccine, state-owned NBT television network showed in a national live broadcast. Prayuth was not inoculated on Sunday as earlier planned because the Sinovac is not recommended for people of his age, Opas Kankawinpong, director general of the Disease Control Department, told a briefing on Saturday.

“Today’s event is to assure the public about the safety of the vaccine that the government will roll out from now on,” said Prayuth. “National vaccination is a major step for the government to go through with this Covid-19 pandemic.”

Southeast Asia’s second-biggest economy aims to inoculate 50% of its population by the end of this year as the government tries to reopen its borders, which have been closed for almost a year to curb the outbreak. The government has also approved AstraZeneca Plc’s vaccine and has ordered 61 million doses.

Na peer review na data ng sinovac and tema yun claims nila then ayaw pa rin ng mga tao, that's the time na sabihan na maarte, pasosy until then I can't blame mga ayaw sa sinovac.

Bakit napunta ang blame sa mga naghahanap ng data muna bago accept yun vaccine?

Sabi nga ninyo huwah pilitin yun ayaw, wala rin naman pumipigil sa mga may gusto ng sinovac pero nagtataka ako bakit walang nag volunteer? [emoji23]

Alam naman natin na lahat ng vaccines kahit saan pa made yan it can prevent hospitalization.

Pero ilatag nila lahat ng data then let the people choose kung ano ipaturok nila sa katawan nila.

Gusto ng mga pinoy pfizer or Moderna dahil transparent sila, na review yun data nila. Ganun lang yun. Wala sa pasosy yan.

MANILA, Philippines — The donated vaccines from China biotech firm Sinovac, which will arrive this weekend, should still undergo evaluation of the Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC), a group of doctors from Philippine General Hospital (PGH) said Saturday.

The HTAC, an advisory body, reviews the cost, ethics and community impact of an anti-Covid-19 drug.

In a statement, the PGH Physician Association said the vaccine program should “have been handled with more prudence and transparency.”

“The PGH PA stands firm that Sinovac, despite being the only vaccine available at hand, should undergo appraisal by the Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC) to facilitate individual informed decision-making before it is administered to healthcare workers. We trust that HTAC shall formulate these recommendations with judicious haste,” read the statement.

“As the national university hospital, PGH should set an example on how vaccination roll-out should be executed in the country. PGH should uphold the ideals of ethical and evidence-based medicine, for which it has been a bastion of. This should be achieved with constant information dissemination and internal consultation of all concerned parties,” it added.

The doctors’ group also urged “public vigilance” on the Covid-19 vaccination program of the government.

“Let us not lose sight of critical thinking especially with matters relating to our own health by monitoring updates and developments in the COVID-19 vaccination. Public vigilance is key,” it said.

The nation’s health department advisory group, composed of health experts from different sectors, said the Sinovac vaccines have yet to undergo HTAC assessment because these are donated and not procured by the government.

Sinovac was also recommended by the Inter Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases for health workers. It cited data that the China-made drug is “50 percent effective in preventing mild symptoms and 100 percent effective against moderate to severe symptoms.”
