hey guys, did you have a chance to watch auto extreme on rpn9 yeasterday sunday? they had a portion there for detailing, but what broke my heart is that they said waxing is detremental to the cars' paint and sooner or later it will thin out so wax only every 3 months...

I wasn't able to watch autoextreme... I'm surprised, James Deakin used to own a detailing shop. I'm gonna give them a little piece of my mind...

Guys,, has anyone ever used this?

The B & D KP600 Random Orbital Polisher (ROP). Any feedback on it?

I have one. The blue bonnets are pretty much useless. Its not variable speed so its only good for wax application, not enough power for surface correction and polishing.

sup guys (and gal)... Haba na ng thread!

Leinahtan: IluvDetailing and I use the B&D Kp600. Its ok for light polishing and wax application. Not really useful for paint correction. Lacks torque and is not speed adjustable. Included foam bonnets can be used only once (as specified in the instructions) so you need to buy plenty. You can use velcro strips to be able to use other foam polishing pads. Now based on experience, I'd advice that you get a DeWalt or Bosch ROP instead..

Nye. Nagkasabay tayo ng post ILD. ehehehe.

BTW, have you guys heard of armorcoat? Parang clear bra din sya kaya lang spray on so pwede ata sa buong car. Looks interesting. They claim they can protect the paintfrom physical harm (I would guess against just light scratches and chips though)..

    Seems interesting..ArmorCoat Site

Woooo.. I wonder how waxes would go with this armorcoat. Ganito rin kaya talaga final appearance? Heheheh. I guess dapat din properly prepped yung paint bago lagyan nito. Pano kaya kung puro watermarks and swirls pa tapos nilagyan na. ehehehe.
