    from Deakin:

So the new guidelines for TNVS are out. It took them over 4 months since the senate hearing and 18 months since they first suspended applications to say that (among other things) a TNVS operator now requires:

A dedicated service area and mechanic. A stock of lubricants, spare tires and other parts, as well as repair and maintenance tools. Dedicated CCTV for their garage/workshop. A dedicated safety officer. And a helper. Even if you have just one single unit.

This should add another 60k a month to the overhead of a TNVS Driver. Which means he or She will need to drive 4 times longer than they did before just to break even or start asking for dag dag sa Metro just to survive. You know, just like a taxi.

    Why, LTFRB? Why?

    ^^^

    may agenda yan

to make most drivers/car owners unqualified for TNVS

maybe well-capitalized fleet owners lobbied the LTFRB to push out smaller operators

or simply reduce the number of TNVS

I agree. they wanna hurt the tnvs.

glad Deakin is publicly putting them on the camera.

next thing we know, a Senator will voice an opinion..

    the Ltfrb will respond..

It seems like the ltfrb is really deadset on killing the tnvs operators

when you look into the abyss, the abyss looks into you
