I saw the CX5 AWD SPORT displayed in Mazda Greenhills.

SRP is 1.685M.

Differences from the other CX5 variants are:

With these features, it's almost like buying a Volvo XC60 at half the price. I think the CX5 AWD SPORT is worth buying. IMO, it has better features than the CRV, RAV4 and even the Forester.

According to my SA the new 2.5L engine is the same as the one used by the new Mazda6 and is rated at 190hp and 250Nm.

Does it come with i-ELOOP also?

Unfortunately, it's highly doubtful we'll ever see the diesel 6 sold here. According to Mazda, the clean diesel Skyactiv-D won’t accept diesel fuel that has a sulfur content of 500 parts per million, which is what’s widely available in the Philippines. If ever the diesel 6 is sold here, refueling it is strictly limited to Unioil's Euro IV diesel fuel, which has a 50ppm sulfur content.

For features, the CX-5 AWD Sport has the standard suite of equipment like power windows, mirrors, locks and electric power steering, and throws in a climate control system, a touchscreen audio system and other bits. The unusual bit is that Berjaya Auto Philippines (the official distributor of Mazda) equipped the CX-5 AWD Sport with i-STOP, i-ELOOP, Traction Control, Stability Control, ABS, EBD, 6 airbags, power front seats, adaptive HID headlamps and a sunroof.

Slow so far based on my sightings. Mas marami pa akong nakikitang XV. 3:1 siguro ratio. Less than one year pa naman Berjaya. MI also took a bit of time to ramp up sales when they took over.
