taking a Kidney break somewhere in Quezon....
love the Red theme Illumination (ala BMW/Kia) hahaha.
matipid na din considering its an AWD CUV....
i love the Bose Sound system, ganda ng S.Q.
that and the i-Stop & extra Power is enough reason to
to justify going for the TOTL...
All, I am seriously looking at cx-5 AT 2.0 especially with the huge discount on the current model (without I-stop). With the huge discount, yogin3, it seems to be a good buy and reasonable price point.
I am comparing it with the sorento crdi lx at which is in the same price range.
Of course the cx-5 is only a year on our shores but can anyone share maintainance cost sans yogin coverage?
I am trying to compare TCO for this and the sorento.
Lastly, maybe someone on this forum had made the same comparison. Can you share what you made you to decide to choose the model you purchased?
I'm leaning towards the Mazda because it has totl features. Sorento has space and diesel (which may contribute to lower fuel costs). I average 16k KMS a year. I consider efficiency to be almost the same for both models. Space not main consideration as 70% of the time, I drive alone.
Max budget is around 1.3M so limiting it to these two trims. Thanks.
Thanks.

Tough choice but ride comfort for me is important so i go with cx5.
Both cars are great, it depends on your priorities. Test drive both then decide.

Im wondering if the additional specs on the 2.0 AT variant worth 75 -100k? Dealers can give that much discount for the 2013 variant which makes me think if leather seats + istop + rear camera is worth it. I was already planning to buy one when I heard there's a newer model. Thanks

Question din sa mga naka AWD - useful technology ba ung i-stop? Kasi parang naiisip ko, madaling bibigay ang battery dahil jan eh, kahit pa sabihin mong special battery xa...
i-Stop or idle stop / auto start stop is not a new technology. Euros have been offering similar technology for so many years already. By this time, battery manufacturers would have perfected their end of the tech loop already.
Also, what sets Mazda's i-Stop apart is that it relies on combustion (that's why the pistons line-up at the middle of their cylinders), and not on the starter motor.
You have the option naman to disable ur i-stop, where I live di naman ganon ka-grabe traffic so if ever I chance to be on a stop light I don't press the break pedal that hard para huwag mag-activate i-stop but I really like the tech.
Anyway guys, what would you recommend for gps nav na babagay sa ating CX5? I'm not planning on replacing the HU, un portable lang and at least 5inch screen sana. Thanks in advance
i-Stop is absolutely, positively brilliant. In the right conditions, it can make a 1-2 km/l difference in stop-and-go traffic. Some people find the shudder at restart annoying, but I don't mind it. Every time I hear the motor turn off, I smile, because I know I'm saving gas.![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
^ Sana lang mas mura battery in the future, almost 3X nang current 2sm MF eh. hehe
Same here, I almost don't notice the i-stop working which is a good thing.
Regarding GPS, I just bought a Garmin (forgot model number) at a motorbike accessory shop beside BMW Autohaus in Libis. I'm pleasantly surprised how detailed the map iand it comes with an analogue TV feature (good when in traffic jams). Plus map updates are available for free download. There are other cheaper Garmin models but I got the top of the line unit.
