Feedback from my brother who did a test drive at the fort:
1. sufficient power, good handling
2. spacious cabin
3. medyo matagtag (according to my sis-in law who is preggy)
4. no AC vent on the second row seats; no backup sensor
5. 2 DIN HU, bluetooth, voice control, Ipod ready, tire pressure monitoring system
6. push start button, 6 airbags
7. according to sales agent 23km/lit fuel economy (which I believe is a sales talk).
8. 95 RON minimum fuel requirement

April 22nd, 2012 08:36 PM #123Did test drive earlier and here are my thoughts:
1. I liked the sky blue color. Not a fan of blue but I'll probably get this color.
2. Spacious cabin especially at the back. Kulang sa thigh support but then you can straighten your legs sa luwag ng legroom sa likod.
3. Medyo matagtag but certainly lesser than in a fortuner or a montero sport. And what do you expect in an SUV in this price range?
4. Okay na power but passing traffic on highways might take advance planning. Didn't get to try it on manual mode.
5. Observation #4 made me wonder about its hill-climbing ability with 5 passengers and a full set of luggage.
6. You can hear some engine roar but not as bad as on a honda.
7. Good handling.
8. Anemic aircon (even at 18 C). No aircon vents for rear passengers.
9. Wished the start/stop button wasn't behind the windshield wiper stalk.
10. Wished they offered options for power seat adjustments (kahit driver side lang), a sunroof, leather seats, back-up sensor and camera.
11. Will wait for the new ford escape and honda cr-v before deciding on a new vehicle. i might even wait for the new hynudai sta. fe.

this morning i was able to test drive both CX5 a/t and the just released 2.4 CRV in Alabang area.
just my observations;
- CX5 much bigger than i thought in the flesh.
- precise handling, steering feel, just the right weight.
- better road manners (suspension, handling, NVH than my '08 2.0 CRV.
- adequate power from stand still than my CRV, though not able to try above 50kph.
- good high driving position.
- rear passenger space almost same as new CRV (bit smaller).
- front/rear passenger comfort, suspension wise, IMO CRV is better.
BTW, before the test drive, i asked my SA to check the tire pressure, true enough
all are 40+ psi, that maybe the reason for the previous comment na "matagtag".
- medyo bitin ako sa lamig, esp when i sit at the back compared to new CRV,
o baka mali lang setting nmin (any feedback?)
FEATURES
- cruise control
- dual zone a/c control
- TCS, DSC, TPMS (tire pressure...)
- power folding side view mirrors
- side turning lamps
- tonneau cover
- fabric seats only
- manual ht adjust
- no camera/sensor
minsan naisip ko... is it really realistic to have a subway na project lang ng isang city? in this...
