December 20th, 2009 10:29 AM #4861MIL PROBLEMS
This is the same thing that happened to me 3 weeks ago at namamatay engine ko map-idle man or running. 15 months unit ko at since na malapit na mag-20k unit ko nagpa-20k PMS na ako agad and the service crew made diagnostics on my unit, 3 beses sa 3 magkahiwalay na araw pero wala sila ma-detect. After my 20k PMS same thing happened over and over at madalas na mag-flash yun ENGINE CHECK so direcho na ko sa casa. Yun na-detect nila agad. My SA said its the "Common Rail Systems Fuel Injector Suction Control Valve". Even the slightest or smallest particle daw can cause such problems. Kailangan daw wag lalampas sa sked ng PMS to prevent such problems, pero khit na daw di sundin sked ng PMS nagkakaganun din. So far after 3 days matapos nila palitan yun piyesa wala na lahat problem, no more worries.
Note: ONE thing that i really notice sa 7 days na pag-drive ko before nila palitan yun parts ay meron days na umiilaw yun check engine at kapag meron days na hindi. Di nila ma-detect kapag wala toyo yun unit.

Isuzu engines are really maingay compared to others kc naka timing gear yan di tulad ng iba na naka-timing belt. Kasunod na nun or bago mangyari yun surely the engine check will light up at hihina yun power or batak ng engine. 4th gear lang ako at mabagal takbo w/c is around 40 to 50 kms/hr. Pero pag di sinusumpong hataw ako up to 120 km/hr. Under warranty pa naman mga units natin, in my case may almost 2 years pa. I just hope na ma-solve ng Isuzu ang problem na ito at makahanap sila ng solution d2 sa lalong madaling panahon. Just imagine kung lagi tayo gagastos ng 8,000 pesos lolz. Thats a lot of money!

December 21st, 2009 11:15 AM #4865With regards to the MIL problem, I think one of the possible cause is dirty fuel. For me, I only gas up in 2 gasoline stations which I know don't get flooded. My truck has already clocked more than 27k kilometers and so far I haven't felt any problems with it. I just went to La Union last month and I even drove it in SCTEX for like 5 mins with speeds up to 175 kph, it wouldn't go any faster anymore, with no problems. I also went to Quezon and going home via Rizal last week and I haven't felt any problems. Mine is already 1 yr and 4 months old. I am just hoping that I wouldn't experience that coz I have already experienced the MIL problem with my 01 Civic. It's so annoying when the engine just dies when idling. For the solution, Honda replaced the SCV, fuel filter and air filter. So far it never occurred anymore.

sir nissan meron po tayo thread about dmax... you could post your comments and questions there... but to answer your queary.... nasa 5liters ang laman ng engine ng lumang dmax kung 4x2.. kung 4x4 nasa 6 liters...
A 70/30 water to coolant mix may improve cooling efficiency but that's at the cost of less...
Coolant...
