June 13th, 2008 11:07 AM #3861I both my D max last year lang and wala pang 50,000 km bumigay agad yung 4 na clutch spring. Nawawala yung tunog kapag tinatapakan yung clutch. Is it a factory defect? Kasi nung sinabi ko sa kasa,di pa nila nachecheck sinabi na agad sakin yung problema e.
Di kaya under rated yung clutch versus the 3.0L na engine?
Na experience nyo na ba to? Anybody?

yun 4jh1 ay hindi pa crdi but electronic narin yun fuel injection nya.. yun 4jj1 ang crdi talaga... but kahit hinid pa crdi ang 4jh1 matipid parin eto... ours would consume around 10km/l kung city and nasa 13-15 kung hiway... compare sa ibang crdi ng ibang brand ay 2.5 lang, the fuel consumption is just the same sa 3.0 ng dmax na non-crdi pa... hehehe...

wala pang gumawa ng ganya sa DMax. Pero if I were to convert my 4x2 DMax to 4x4 ang kukuhaan ko ng "donor parts" ay probably yung LC70/prado box type - rather than an isuzu bighorn.
ayoko ng front IFS ng DMax 4x4, mas gusto ko yun straight axle, tapos yun trailing arm type na suspensions on all 4 ng LC70 ang gusto kong "upgrade" (hindi ko alam kung ganito ang sa bighorn eh).
Ang hindi ko lang alam ay kung magma-match ang tranny and transfer case ng LC70 sa DMax.
I am sure this is going to be one hell of an expensive trial and error project - with a bottomline of "not practical".

June 19th, 2008 04:25 PM #3867ganyan din akin..yung iba nga daw 5k pa lang palit na agad..yung parang biglang iingay yung makina..tapos pag apak clutch nawawala..tama ba???yup muka nga under rated..meron ba after market clutch for our max??lakas kasi ng makina ng max kaya unang bumibigay clutch...

Many of my officemates also suffered the same fate sa dmax nila pati na rin ako. some replaced their release bearing and some yung springs sa clutch disc or something related to that.
