I know they're cousins but I just generally prefer the Seiko brand more than Orient.

I just really don't wanna make the mistake again of spending money on a watch with no pedigree. Bought a Fossil watch before as a gift because it looked nice. I didn't know that I could've gotten a Seiko Diver for the same price.

I don't know if the 4205 is in the same league as the 6309s, 7002s, and 007s.

Am not sure bro but I think those old Seikos fall under the vintage collectible category. It might be a challenge to find ones in good condition with all original parts.

If you plan to get it to start a collection it might be a good place to start but for daily wear I'd suggest a more practical newer caliber that hacks and can be manually wound like the NH35.

4205. But might swap it out for a 7002 tomorrow. The 4205 is slightly too small, the 7002 is slightly too big. Between the two, I think being slightly big is better suited for the classic Seiko diver design.

Going to japan next week hinahanda ko na credit card ko. Excited but scared haha. Might pick up the sbdc053. 28k lang dun compared to 36-38k dito

Was planning to go for a Tag first but I was checking prices in Japan and it turns out that Speedmasters there are pretty affordable. 😁

Then I read all about the Speedmaster's history and got even more enamored by it. It's also one of the few watches that look really good whether with a bracelet or a leather strap.
