When it was first introduced, maybe. But I think other watches like Seikos have their own solar battery.

I’m disappointed with EcoDrive movement. Mine just wouldn’t keep a charge anymore. That kelot me from buying the Nighthawk or SkyHawk as it might suffer the same fate as my EcoDrive watch.

i revived mine (non-citizen) by putting the watch beside my three-bulb led bedroom lampshade, overnight.
it was good as new the next day.

I will try that, doc. Maybe it will regain enough charge to be back in full operation. Thanks.

i decided to pay the piper earlier today and buy a blue faced orient mako II.

i was hoping to purchase the more vivid blue orient ray II variant but it wasn't available.

inamin din ng seiko, "some day, not all watches will be made this way".

this design has always been, to me, the epitome of manhood.
looks good under a suit, a barong, or just about any shirt.

Agree. A good diver's watch is very versatile. Which is why I think a Sub is very iconic.

Personally though, chronos are my favorite. I'm a fan of the subdials.

i used to chrono, too. i suppose, most young 'uns do.
until my eyesight made it difficult for me to appreciate the subdials' pointers.

Nice Mako II you got there, bro! I have always liked better the blue dial color of Orient over Seiko. I’m fighting the itch to buy a Ray II as the Orient I long to have is the Polaris GMT or Starseeker GMT.

What I like about Orient is that all watch enthusiasts know about it, while almost noone outside watch circles even recognizes it.

If you have to explain what an Orient is, you probably aren't talking to a real watch fan.

What brand of watch do you wear? [Merged]
