Better than the P41k i was quoted by a relative. Supportahan daw ang business ng kamaganak o kaibigan BUT NOT IF IT IS ON MY EXPENSE!

Up to 1.5Hp pwede na 15-20A aircon outlet, beyond that use separate breaker with gauge 12 wires. 5Tr 30Amps breaker and gauge 10

    Window or cabinet or cassette-type?

Most splits 1.5hp and below are corded, the outdoor unit is connected on the indoor unit' electric panel board. I guess since they are inverters, the sudden inrush current is prevented so they do not require heavy wires.

i'm a believer in "over-engineering", if i can help it.
it equates to less problems in the future.

The a/c kasi is for my kids online school room so the existing outlets will be used for their computers - 1 desk top, 3 laptops, 1 printer. Tapping the a/c into that line will surely create voltage fluctuations. Another is that the breaker that is connected to is only 15A. Also since the main breaker is just on the other side of the concrete wall it was just a simple matter of drilling a hole and adding a separate surface mounted breaker direct to the incoming Meralco lines. This also does not add to the load of the main breaker. DIY ko lang naman so no added labor cost to the installation.

The unit was not corded. They did provided 10 feetx2 of #14 wire for connecting to the acu.

Bakit mataas price ni relative? Sometimes my relatives take advantage of me. Uutang walang bayaran. Bebenta taga presyo. Sometimes i oblige when the need is legit. Now, i am also in need.

Dahil nag-start na ang online schooling ng 2 kids ko, our bedroom gets converted to both classroom and WFH office during the day.

Dati, we just use the AC when going to bed but now pag gising namin i-o-off muna ang AC for about an hour or 2 while we have breakfast downstairs then turn on ulit pag start na ng classes at work. Pag tapos na ang classes at around 5PM, we turn it off. We turn it on again pag bedtime na (around 8PM).

AC is a 3-month old 1 HP Daikin inverter.

    Kapag regular aircon, yes tipid.

If using inverter, very minimal lang savings.

you can compare power meter readings. on days you swtich off vs days you run straight

switching it off for 1-2hrs won't reduce consumption that much. the heat generated will still be cooled by the AC after wards.

best thing to do is seal the doors and windows.

Bro, how's your samsung AC na bago?

May 2.5 hp, 2 hp saka 3/4 hp. Kami lang naglilinis once a year.

My friend who works in Samsung and has several Samsung aircons in their house that has failed on them. She doesn't recommend Samsung aircons even to us friends, kahit mura because of employee discount. Super sirain daw talaga Samsung aircons and there's a reason why they're cheap.

Pang TV and phone lang daw talaga ang Samsung and I tend to agree. Dami rin bad feedback about Samsung microwaves. Yung Samsung ref namin at home though ok naman. Almost 10 years na rin.

I have a Samsung window type aircon for 13 years, a Samsung split type aircon for the kids room for maybe 8 years. Well luckily both are still working fine naman.

It's good when it works, it's a pain when it doesn't. Samsung doesn't invest in strong aftersales for their appliances. Like motherboard lang daw (which is typically what breaks in Samsung aircons) kailangan pa orderin since they don't keep inventory here.

Kapag motherboard problem, be it AC, washmac, etc., who you gonna call? No not Samsung service center, call your friendly neighborhood tech. Chances are, it can be repaired at a minimal cost or if it needs replacement, there are plenty in the market and it's cheap. If you call Samsung, the replacement will cost you almost a new unit
