    You need to consider energy efficiency nung non inverter after 2 years, you computed on fix rate it will depend on weather conditions. Hot weather will consume more energy than cold one.

    Sir Max, will they have significantly different efficiencies 2 years later assuming both were subjected to the same conditions and operating time? Which one will have a longer life and better eficiency later?

    Window type acu still consume more power than split type. 1hp split type acu * 24/7 almost 2.5-3k monthly bills. Inverter window type 1.5hp *15 hrs/day almost 4-4.5k monthly bills. For me window type acu non inverter on first year maintain its energy efficiency but after that it reduces its efficiency.

    Sir parang baligtad ata. Ang comparison ng 1.5hp window type inverter is 2hp split type inverter based on my experience.

    From an existing 1.5hp non-inverter window type, the upgrade would be either a 2hp inverter split type or the same 1.5hp window inverter (same hp).

    Newer inverters have gotten better compared to those from half a decade ago.

    1.5 HP inverter aircon:
    Window = 20-25 square meters
    Split = 15-18 square meters

    You need to use an inverter aircon at least 8 hours daily to be able to have cost benefit ...

    Is this for same sized rooms? ... and same environmental factors? ... like people going in and out ... night time and day time use ...

    The computation might not be accurate. Is the room sealed(doors windows) and insulated(ceiling and walls)? One condo I visited had a main door that was bringing fresh air kuno sa condo. Thats a nightmare for air conditioning systems.

    May appliance stores ba na tumatanggap ng trade in? It might be easier to get rid of our old ac this way than trying to sell it.

    Saw the billboard of Imarflex along Buendia Avenue which says they accept trade-in for 20% off. I'm guessing it depends on the value of what you're trading. Since I'm not so keen on getting an Imarflex, perhaps other ac outlets have that kind of promo too.

    Be careful with Imarlex aircon. The quality is quite poor and after service sucks.

    My take is that trade-in discounts are just gimmicks, the discount is already part of the promo even without the trade-in. Come on lang yan, bebenta lang nila sa isang willing partner yan, i.e. junkshop/repair shop, swerte na lang ng buyer kung gumagana pa at maibenta ng mas maganda sa iba. Pa summer na, nagpo promo pa? tama si dreamur, most probably tinutulak nila yan sa dami ng complaints.

    Koppels are cheap ... that's why many buy them ... but they are not as efficient nor designed as well as a Carrier / Daikin / Panasonic ...
