HAHAHA! My world was shattered when jut posted that it's Chinese! LOL! I find Anker expensive pa naman, pero okay lang kasi made in the USA I just checked the boxes of my Anker Products at ang laki laki ng "America's leading brand..." I feel like such an idiot, kaya never assume talaga.

Anker feels premium din kasi. BTW, another chinese brand that am liking is U GREEN, Tsikoteer din nagsabi sakin to check it out.

yes dr, even European designer brands have goods with Tag made in China. Kaya some make sure that the tag in their item is made in France, Italy, Spain or US etc.

BMW has a plant in China that manufactures China-market BMWs.



For us in the PH, most are produced in BMW's plant in Malaysia.

Love them or hate them, Chinese manufacturing simply made everything more affordable.

Before this decade is over, we'd all be seeing more BYD and Geely EVs.

I remember during the 80s pag sinabing "uy statesides!", lalo na pag may barcode means imported from US. Sa US yata nag simula ang barcode. Ngayon eh "ay! made in China".

This is why China rose to global economic dominance. They were simply the best at making things for the lowest prices. At first quality was not at par with more expensive produce from other countries but eventually quality got better and they still had the competitive advantage in manufacturing.

And so many people are poor in 3rd world countries who would rather buy the cheapest option than make a stance against China just for patriotic purposes.

Clothes, gadgets, plastics - everything is made in China and is often the best value option.

Big dent to CCP will eventually come when more people gets aware of the reason why they are cheap(manufactured after forced labor, copyright infringements, environmental violations, etc).

Governments are starting the ban of Chinese brands, take a look at Huawei (its rise was due to years of hacking into Nortel), now they can't use a Qualcomm technology, they are getting banned up to core networks. Chinese brands are delisted, spies are hunted.

Not everything is made in China. Soon all semicon and electronics will be back to Taiwan, cars brands back in asia except China. Your ancestors and regime in china will be dirt poor.

The war against China is just starting. This China virus, excessive territorial claims and land grabs, conflict to other nations will make the purge easier.

If I tell a construction worker that their 5k Oppo phone was cheap because of copyright infrignement, would they buy a Samsung that costs twice the price?

I said soon. Their Oppo and Chinese gadgets will be junk and will not be able to connect to mobile networks. Banks are now starting to eliminate Chink equipments on their network. If you want the technology then pay more.

How much do you want to wager that in 10 years, China will still be an economic superpower and the world will still be unable to cut China out?

I have zero fondness for China's world dominance, but realistically it's the way the world is going.

Hmm.. Lets say it took China 10yrs to master spying and stealing technology to become an economic superpower.
Maybe it will take only 2yrs from this Corona virus for the regime to go down.
I dunno, we have different perspective maybe..just wait and see. so far that's the reality, its going down. The world isn't about China anymore.

The Vivo Y15 is surprisingly good. Mediatek processor is a bit slow but once the apps are loaded then the 4GB RAM keeps things smooth. Rear cameras are good and the wide angle option is fun. The relatively low-res IPS LCD is still nowhere near an OLED but for the price and usage it's good enough.

I could have shopped for other non-Chinese brands in the price range but the Huawei was on its last legs and a replacement was needed fast.

I've recently noticed some India-based websites on my feed listing non-Chinese alternatives to consumer electronics like phones and TWS earphones.

My MIL got an A10S. Una kong napansin was the screen - any phone above 6" should really have FHD resolution and OLED.

Sakit sa mata ng below FHD resolution. Big difference in display between Note 10 and A10S even if 1080p lang screen ng Note 10.

Second thing I noticed was how slow it was. Even with an octa-core CPU it doesn't feel as snappy as my old S8 which is 3 years old and costs roughly the same 2ndhand vs bnew A10S.

So IMO still better to get a good-condition secondhand flagship than a bnew low-end phone.

Didn't want to splurge since pangharabas phone lang naman to. I expect it to be dropped sooner or later. Limited lang din ang option within that price range dahil mostly out of stock sa Lazada and I didn't want to brave the malls. M11 sana ang Samsung na closest in price pero talo sa RAM and ROM. The A20s is a 1,000 more. Both are out of stock din.

Use case is just for YouTube and Discord. Di mahilig sa mobile games ang user.

I'll be back soon though. Nagpaparinig si panganay. His 5s still works but he now wants a bigger screen.

OT... but the thing with Chinese is that they love China...

I have mainland Chinese friends who will buy a top of the line Huawei phone and never use it (they still use an iPhone daily). "support daw sa Huawei since pinahihirapan sila ng America"

Top selling cars in China? all made in China (2019 data)

Closest thing I remember to them are Myanmarese, everything imported is a luxury. For daily items (like clothes), nothing beats local brands.
